The Interpreter How come I like every (at least those that I've seen) movie with Sean Penn? Oh, and Kidman's great, too 4/5 @Eagle: Josh Hartnett is a good actor but he doesn't get the parts he deserves in half of the films he makes. But, well, that's the way it is.
Ahh..the movies..Any Cinema Paradiso fans? A true masterpiece in the art of film making. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LarMt8J-6BQ&feature=related Steve
well, of course! I've seen that movie like 5 times - an all-time favorite of mine . I also have the director's cut at home but have never gotten around to watching it yet...
Black Cat, White Cat (Crna macka, beli macor) 1998 A charming comedy about gipsy hustlers living by the Danube. Full of wonderful caracters... From IMDB: Matko is a small time hustler, living by the Danube with his 17 year old son Zare. After a failed business deal he owes money to the much more successful gangster Dadan. Dadan has a sister, Afrodita, that he desperately wants to see get married so they strike a deal: Zare is to marry her. But none of the two care much for an arranged marriage: Zare is in love with Ida, Afrodita is waiting for the man of her dreams. Allthough the movie has a couple of small continuity slip ups, i'll give it 4,5/5 for being original and charming (and having a straight shaving scene). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg44qKSbsdQ
I just waw that one too. Extremely powerful, emotionally stirring with an excellent cast and crew. I just looked up the original case and was very, very disappointed. Everybody who had a hand in this deserves the death penalty. I give the movie 5/5 and I think that's the first (or at most the second) time this year that I award this rating.
I actually enjoyed it. If you liked Wedding Crashers you will like this movie. If you don't like Vince Vaughn, then you will not like this movie.
Wanted - 1 of 5 Rockstars Horrible movie from start to finish. One scene that rates a single star props up the whole movie. The only reason I even like the scene is the way it was filmed. Otherwise... stay away at all costs. Don't even let someone else waste their hard earned cheddar. James Bond: Casino Royale - 2.186 of 5 Moo Cows Bond? Really? If you'd sold this to me as a different movie then I might buy it. Daniel Craig is no Connery and by extension no Bond. Truly disappointed in the entire movie. Nothing about it felt very Bond at all. Sir Fleming is rolling. I'd rather give myself paper cuts on my eyes than watch either movie again. Seriously.
I'll second this. It was a horrible movie. Hooking and slicing bullets??? Ugggg....puhlease. Morgan Freeman has accepted far too many paycheck movies recently. The shine is off his armor IMO.
Certainly isn't Craig's fault the writers aren't writing Bond movies. I think Craig could be an excellent Bond if they would cast him in a Bond movie.
+1 Penn consistently makes good choices. Not just in the roles/films he works on, but also in what he does once he takes them.
I love that movie too. I remember seeing it when it was first released and I was just entering college. I'll have to find a copy and indulge myself some evening.
