I recently picked this up at a small antique shop locally. I have done some research on it but I am having a hard time placing a true value on it. I don't collect razors and primarily buy for resale. I thought this might be a good place to post the pictures and get some input. It does wind up and it also has 6 replacement blades. Thank you!

Being honest I think I underpaid for my Gillette Adjustable slim handle models getting one for $32.87 total and the other with a mostly intact case, one of the two hinge knobs broke before I got it for $36.77 total. I know because most of them on e-bay are way higher than these without a case sell in the $40--$50 maybe up to $55 for really nice examples and case model is at least the price at least of the Henson's shaver that start at $60 then go from there.

My current one, the no case has some odd pitting on the part just above the adjuster knob So, the pitting that does not affect the shaver is what messed up the shaver price from being higher as even tarnishing or the chrome/nickel plating going away does not affect most of this era's models price selling for $40+ without a case but apparently pitting does affect the price because it was reduced as nobody was buying the model originally at $10 more.

The lack of dating despite the seller saying it is an impossible for the Gillette Adjustable slim handle a rare Q era helped keep the price down despite being a very nice almost never used model like the person normally used a cheaper/older Gillette then only used the Gillette Adjustable for big events/things like important meetings. Even now the case model is just a backup for my current model of Gillette Adjustable slim handle shavers that will only be used when my main models is either lost on vacation, or nearly dead if in still usable condition ends up in the cased or thrown away if not useable at all. The backup Gillette Adjustable slim handle is in the lightly modified cover of case used to fit my fly on the plane model currently my old Micro Touch One because I do not trust baggage people to not ruin my adjustable shaver, so the adjustable part does not work making it a more expensive not adjustable, butterfly model.

I am not so particular about the shavers looks as long as the top is not pitted or dented in the top parts or having other issues like an adjuster that does not stay in place/hard to move or butterfly is dying as long as the model shaves well and the adjustment dial works. Then I do not care about having one with readable date code numbers if the model is in good shape.

All prices are USA prices above.
