I'm surely not questioning your technique, but I would at least try it once with bottled water.

I also like the advice Anthony once gave over in the Williams thread:

Work the hell outta that puck Bob, I usually load mine for at least 60 - 90 seconds with a very wet brush and puck.

Then try moving it to your palm and building the lather there, palm lathering gives great feedback on hard to lather soaps.

 

I never had problems with Williams.
