The antique shops around here never have shaving gear. Vintage Avon bottles is about as close as it gets.
Guess I'm the kind of guy that asks lots of questions. Been in sales long enough that I don't say "Do you have any razors?" because they can answer yes or no. I get a line of questions going. So, do you have any old shave brushes? Old Spice Mugs, do you know what a scuttle is? Any old sharpening stones, straight razors? By the time I'm through, if the clerk has a "Most Wanted" list I'm on it. You know, for incoming merchandise. Not that anyone has called the police. Yet.
I considered using old fashioned tooth paste, not the new gel type. Your choice is supposed to clean up clear plastic. Thank you for teaching me, Sir!
No problem. Glad to help. Keep it wet, alternate direction with each change in grit (north/south then east/west). No Circles!
Hello folks! I just finished another razor restore a little while ago. It is a 1920's Ball End Old Type and its case. It's pretty much done, even though the paint is still a little tacky. Here's the photos- I hope you like it. Have a great day.
