ATT Calypso S1 Slant / Astra Superior Platinum
WCS Two-Tone Tall 26mm Synthetic BOSS Knot
Chiseled Face Sherlock Shaving Soap
Chiseled Face Sherlock Aftershave Splash
On its first outing, the ATT aluminum slant felt a bit more aggressive than my Fine aluminum slant. I also detected some drag compared to the Fine slant, which is polished. Fortunately the West Coast brush and Chiseled Face Sherlock soap produced a good slick lather, so the end result was a two-pass BBS (WTG and ATG). But I still need a few more shaves with the ATT to really get it dialed in.
Odd. I have the SS S1/2 and I didn't find it draggy or aggressive at all. Do you think this being made from aluminum changes the shave a bit? I don't have the Fine Slant. Maybe that one is really mild?
I'm only guessing that that the anodized aluminum surface nay cause more drag than the brushed ss. But I don't have the ss versions. so I can't compare aggressiveness. I d0 know the Fine slant is definitely milder than my iKon B1 slant and RR Wunderbar.
Thanks for the clarification. Very interesting.
awesome slant shave and pic Jim..
awesome Jim.glad you are trying and enjoying new things..
Thank You Gary.
awesome Jim,cool razor..
That looks like a very nice and efficient shave.
Thanks Big D. IMHO the ikon is the second most efficient slant, with the RazoRock Wunderbar being the most efficient.
Thanks for the information. I might want to look into that.
cool fine slant shave and pic Jim..
