I picked up this slant many, many moons ago when I was in an acquisition frenzy (many would ask, when am I not?). Today was the first time I've dug it out since I received and cleaned it. I can't believe I let this one sit so idle for so long....what a great shaver!!! 3-passes (although I could've easily stopped after 2) and I am silky smooth without a hint of irritation and no sign of blood. It is a heavy little monster, but it has that nice balance of mild on the face but efficient on the whiskers! It reminds me of the Wunderbar, except it was a fraction of the price and it didn't make me "bleed my own blood"....as they say. A thrift store score. A Pomcomatic vibrating slant. I actually walked out the store and had to go back in to buy. It is to odd to leave behind. Guessing from the late 60’s, early 70’s. Unfortunately, the battery was left inside so the works are all messed up.
Amazing! And I thought I knew something about slants. I’m truly sad that it is not a working model. We need a POWERED review.

My Slant Shave of the Day: Razor: Ikon X3 Blade: Voskhod (6) Soap: LEA Cream Brush: Yaqi 24mm Mew Brown Knot on Purple Haze Handle A/S: Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel It took 3 full passes, but I ended up with a DFS and a VERY-mild feeling shave. I like the X3, but I feel like it is the most inefficient slant I have -- it definitely gets the job done, and it could be my issue with finding it's perfect angle; but for me, it lags behind the Maggards I used the other day. That said, it delivers a nice shave if you have the patience for a 3-pass beard reduction. It also feels like a slant that I could use daily if I had to....not sure I can say that about any of my others.
Thanks. I am definitely a fan. I always think of myself as someone who enjoys an aggressive razor, but then when I reach for a razor, I find myself grabbing the milder ones. This one is definitely a milder one.
I find that with the X3 I need to be more on the safety bar rather then the cap. Try a shallower angle next time and see how it goes Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
