You can figure out scent for yourself. It is subjective. But Rod's stuff has tons of aloe and glycerine and all that good stuff... It suits me phenomenally in the MN winters... I don't even know how many I have, twelve eighteen splashes, and five or six balms. You may call me a Stirling Baskin Robbins.
yes, and I have already declared a big interest in getting that . Meanwhile, I should have my A.S. samples next Tuesday.
y'know, I did a "sniff test" of my 4 samples today, and upon early thought, the Sandpiper could be my "sleeper scent". Course I'll try them all, but I was quite impressed with the "Piper".
My wonderful wife got me a sample puck of Electric Sheep purely because she liked the name and picture. I'm not sure what to make of it, smells to me like the big citronella candles that come in the metal pail...
So, how does Electric Sheep perform compared to the beef tallow products? And do androids really dream of electric sheep?
I think his sheep soaps are slicker. They have that kind of slick where you can clean up without adding lather, just a splash a water. Where you can miss a spot and not feel it until you rinse. If I could only have one soap, it would be one of Rod's sheep soaps. Both scents are fairly strong, I'm not sure if it is necessary to cover the mutton tallow??? The pine is crisp though, it reminds me of Balsam stands on a snowy day. The Electric Sheep is pretty serious lemon and citronella. If you don't KNOW FOR SURE that you like it, I would recommend a sample. Personally, I love it.
I'm going for the full-size for my first of their soaps-as well as a full-size of the sample aftershave I choose(they'll match of course).
Stirling just put "seconds" brushes on sale. Worth a look if you were on the fence. What I have read from people is it's usually pretty minor stuff. Like a missing logo type thing.
I ordered a "seconds" slant razor and a synthetic brush from them and I couldn't tell there was anything wrong with them.
Yeah, I think he is pretty fair about calling things seconds, where he could just sell some of them and deal with complaints later.
I am taking it easy on the menthol until this blasted cold breaks up a bit. No Glacials until I see zero on the thermometer!
