Has anyone here used City Slicker or Stirling Green? I'm mainly interested in the aftershaves. (I've been on an aftershave kick lately). How close is Stirling Clubman to the original?
I just received my order of Arkadia Shaving Soap Samples-2, Arkadia ASB-1, and Arkadia Bath soap. Rod tossed a sample of the Sandalwood Bath Soap in the box also. They all smell heavenly. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Too bad I shaved an hour ago. I might try the balm after my evening shower with the soap. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
I have Green AS. It is exactly what I remember Polo to be, but I haven’t actually had any in years. It seems to fade sort of rapidly, but maybe it’s just my incredibly insensitive nose. My wife is completely meh on it, probably reminds her of an old boyfriend or something.
I just succumbed to the temptation and ordered the Green and Rose in both the soap and AS. If the Green is really like Polo, I'll get to run around feeling like a middle schooler again. I need to keep those end of season emails out of my inbox.
Got an e-mail from Doc Ezlovan about some specials on his site, but of course I had to let it go in this NB year. I hope he knows I'll be back for more Stoylin products next year.
Rod has some pretty good prices on Seconds badger brushes. From feedback I have read on them, as often as not, it is an issue with the lettering, of which the remainder can be scrubbed off pretty easily. I have also heard from people that they aren’t even sure why it was a second. If anyone wants to try a pretty darn good badger, without paying an arm and a leg for it, this is a really good chance to do it.
So, they're going to be doing deodorants, standalone (diffusable) essential oil blends, and sprayable fragrances now?
Those two have a lot of ideas cooking; some in testing already. I am eagerly waiting all three of these.
Just ordered up a few more bars of bath soap, Pig Trail and Scots Pine. With what I have, I am hoping I am set till the Spring release. I pretty much have my soaps dialed in to: Pig Trail, Scots Pine, Electric Sheep and Port au Prince. I also tossed in the Stirling Pro synthetic brush. This one has been on the list for quite some time, and is replacing my Kong which I PIFfed. The handle on the Kong never really flipped my minnow, but I really like the looks of the Pro.
I really enjoyed this shave with the MITA. It was the regular version which is nowhere nearly as cold as the Glacial one but it still gave me plenty of chill. For Menthol Monday it'll be the Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo!
I can't wait for the deodorants to come out. I'ed be set then with everything being Stirling. I can't use commercial deodorants, and even Crystal Alum Deodorant is starting to cause irritation. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
I really like the bath soaps. They rinse clean and you don't spend 10 minutes afterwards rinsing suds down the drain, especially from your washcloth. They double as a shampoo too. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
So is Island Man a continuous Seasonal offering? I should have bought some when I had the chance. Wife got me a sample back when she got me my first Stirling order back in June. Anyone have some Island Man you would like to get rid of? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
