Boy, did I have a fantastic shave last night. Finished up the last of my Glacial Lemon Chill sample and went with a Focus Slim Al Sent from my SM-G928T using Tapatalk
The diversity in things like this is amazing. I tried my sample size of Gentleman the other day. It wasn't bad for me to use as a soap, but not a scent I think I'd like to wear. Time to move on to the next scent. BTW, I adopted something from your earlier question on containers. Of the sample I had in zip lock bags, I started using the pinch off a piece method. Works way better than moving it in and out of a bowl like I was doing. Thanks. I think it'll be Bergamot Lavender tomorrow. Be well.
Lavender and Bergamot in an awesome scent too. My 1st full tub of Stirling And you're so right about the whole YMMV thing lol Sent from my SM-G928T using Tapatalk
Due to the arrival of 4 new South African soaps yesterday my Eskimo Tuxedo will have to be patient until Monday! Lolll
I just used Stirling's Executive Man this morning after not using a Stirling soap in a couple of weeks. I love this soap. What a fantastic scent and boy does this soap lather. This one of my favorite soaps period and for the money the hands down favorite.
I was wondering about the bath soap bar, do you guys think it is a good value? How many showers will it last? How does the speed that it breaks down compare to a bar of Irish Spring or Dove hard soap? I dont see a picture on the website, how large is the bar of soap? Also can someone advise me how many shaves does 1 bottle of Stirling aftershave last for?
For straight up “value” as measured by uses per penny, Ivory bath soap and Arko shave soap are the winners..........and smell like almost the same product. Stirling bars of soap don’t last any longer than commercial soaps in my experience, but I use them because they work, smell great, and have a shorter, more natural ingredient list. I also feel a lot better giving my dollars to Rod and Mandy than to the giant corporations. Otherwise Dial and Ivory will get the dirt off for cheap.
That one certainly is among my ideas for 2019. But for now I am enjoying Spice and Barbershop(cold months)and Glacial Wintergreen(summer&early fall). I suppose there will still be plenty of all three as 2019 begins. But another soap&A.S. duo is on my "shopping list", to help celebrate the fact that I made it throughNB18(course I haven't yet, but I know I will . I should add that the the only A.S. I have is Sandpiper, the others are just the soaps.
For me, I discovered that bath soap bars are better used at the sink, as hand-soaps. I tried a bath soap in the shower once, and found that it smothered the "sponge/rag" I use for my bodywashes. Wasn't comfortable with that.
I''ve only bought one so far in 2018 and I'm trying to hang tough but feel myself weakening. So many good soaps and A/S's out there
My Stirling order arrived today. I’m more Stoked about the T shirt I like it A lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, if you prefer the T shirt I'll take the Sandpiper (one of the scents I'm really interested in) Just kidding of course but I will probably pick up some Sandpiper ... but not until 2019
Quite true. I kind of stoked up at the end of last year to make sure I'd succeed. I'm happy with what I have-should get me through. Also got a nice PIF to help me(Jeeves of Hudson Bay Rum soap).
I was most pleased to read a review on the website about Sharp Dressed Man soap-the reviewer feels that it "goes well with most aftershaves".
Thanks. What about the bottle of Stirling aftershave? How many shaves would it last for approximately?
