OK, I confess to visiting in lurk mode. Unfortunately, I got one of these I really like. The best set of training wheels ever. And no need to double clutch. Most of the great folks over there would probably let me in, but there is that one of a kind gatekeeper to worry about. Might not let me in when his spies see this.
Well since I am here..... Thanks to @PickledNorthern I have a few Stirling samples. I used the Electric Sheep again today. I love the scent and agree it is a great soap all around. The 30DC Tuxedo was awesome. The little bakelite razor is called a Slant Stroke. Very lightweight...loved it. Finished off with Pinaud Classic Vanilla. Veddy nice shave all around.
Really though, the gate keeper can't keep me from spy-lurking. Just remember, I bought an I1 on your enablement. I'll always have it, cause it's fun.
It's been some time that I haven't used my Frozen Tundra so tomorrow morning's the appointment is booked!
As 2019 begins, I'm opening to the possibility of ordering what would be my 3rd set of A.S. samplers, before deciding on my soap/A.S. combo. 8 short months to decide.
"Unseasonably" warm here for Friday and maybe Saturday. I moved the Sandpiper A.S. into position replacing the TSD I had in mind. But it's still "manly", so I kept true to part of what I said a few days ago. Ah well, 7 out of 9 ain';t bad.
Today my Fatip Piccolo FINALLY arrived, so I did my first mid-day shave (my weekend is Tues/Wed). To celebrate I went full on MITA, with the soap applied with a Stirling Tuxedo. After only two passes I had a perfect shave. I splashed on some MITA witch/Aloe, and came back ten minutes later for MITA balm. My face feels wonderful! I capped it all off with a pint of Major Dickason’s.

I am going to use an I that I picked up the other day with another stirling sample in a few days . Should be fun.
Wow, the Frozen Tundra soap sure felt freezing this morning. What a great shave I had with it. Its scent reminds me quite a bit of the Glacial Wintergreen - just not as powerfully mentholated.
I’m continuing to use my puck of Stirling by rum that was sitting in my den for the past two years. The scent has dissipated a bit, but it still smells lovely! Also, the lathering power and slickness characteristic of Stirling is just as good as if I bought it yesterday. I’ll be using it until I use it up. Good stuff!
To me it has a perfect balance of clove and rum. Maybe because is sat for two years, wrapped of course, the scent has mellowed a bit. I loved the scent when I got it and still do today. However, it’s more of a subtle aroma now, without any one scent standing out over another. Also, this one seems to be super slick and really moisturizes my face.
Well, I'm a happy camper! Look what finally came in the mail. I tried the texas wildfire, first. Boy oh boy! This soap has some serious slickness. This is super slick. Now, for what you are waitin for, the scent. The scent is over the top! It is over powering, it is amazing. The scent is one that can be described as smoky, deep, dark and pungent. It will stay with me for a long, long time. Can't wait to try the rest of the scents that I ordered.
Awesome! The thing I like about Stirling shave soap best is how slick it is. I like to take the lather to what I call 'just over to the sloshy side' with a good amount of water. It holds up and stays slick. If you pinch off a pea size or so, it is plenty. The next thing I like is the variety of scents that you can test out in soap sample size. Don't think I'd like Texas Wildfire. They need a Brut clone though. Be well.
Jim as you get down to the inner layers of the soap I think some more of the scent will be unlocked. I need to get some more Bay Rum stuff because I am out and Summer is around the corner. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Aqua Velva Ice Blue would be a good one to have a matching soap for too. I like Skinbracer too. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
