In a long-ago post, Doc Ezlovan said he was aware of the SDM issue, but I forgot what else he said about it(that is, if he was trying to eliminate it).
I’ve been using Mtn Man the last few days as a transition from my summer to fall scents. I have the deodorant too. I smell mighty fancy when heading off to work.

I fully support the R4L project..........but. If you’re trying to introduce a new guy to wet shaving, the scent is a huge piece of the puzzle IMO. As fellow wet shaving aficionados we know all the other facets to be enjoyed, but scent quickly separates soaps from canned foam. I didn’t know what vetiver smelled like so I bought a bottle of AS.........and hated it. Mixed with other notes it may work, but it’s not for me. Other guys apparently love it. Which brings me to my main point (it always takes a while). We all have different noses, interpretations and preferences. Heck, my preferences even change day to day since I have enough soaps to be that way. I would recommend ordering a Lil Brudder and a variety of around ten samples from Stirling along with an empty tin. Let him decide what he likes, and by the time he’s burned through that many samples he should have some opinions on the matter. Throw in a Merkur 34C and you’re officially the best uncle ever. Well maybe Bill Gates is a better uncle, but you’d be pretty darned great. Just my two pesos.
On deck for this morning's shave, for the first time in this shave den...Stirling Glacial Wintergreen.
Glad you'll be trying it. Feel free to provide for us your initial reaction..I'm sure it will be a verbal addition to your picture .
I'll second the Lil Brudder idea-since I have one muhself and really like it. It may be "lil", but the thing packs a punch.
Yes, that’s right. That soap was part of my Shavey award from @BaylorGator. That container is originally his. It’s a Tupperware/Rubbermaid type.
For all of you following The 2019 Stoylin Tony Awards contest, I was just over at CVS and noticed an aftershave I hadn't thought of during the contest nomination period(course there's one more nomination left): It's Aqua Velva Musk A.S. That one could help work with some of my recent PIFed soaps, as well as help me "mix&match" where Stoylin is involved. . My "mad scientist" work continues!! Final nomination on Christmas, then it will be "Hell Week" to decide the winner on New Year's Day . '
