I believe he's adding to the mutton tallow line this spring, perhaps even March. Maybe a glacial will included in the updated line.
The business world is littered with companies that lost their way. When I got my business degree - we studied several companies where the old guard retired and the new/younger folks fresh out of college with the marketing and advertisement degrees changed the product to "fit the times". The smart ones called on the old guys and brought them back to get the company on track again.
There was one Glacial scent which was my idea. It was the Lavender and it didn't sell well. I guess my ideas aren't so great after all.
There is an easy solution. Pick up a body butter, lotion, lip balm, and bath soap for your wife. Surprise her and say "Look what I got for you honey!" While she's sniffing her new goodies, you say, "Oh, and to save on shipping for another order, I threw in some shave soaps as well." Problem solved!
Glacial Black Cherry. Glacial Black Cherry. Glacial. Black. Cherry. Holy crud that is an awesome idea. I honestly don't know why I didn't think of it myself. When I get the time this summer I will make a batch of it in jars. If it sells well, we'll do it like the Eskimo Tuxedo and make it in pucks and samples as well the next year.
Not necessarily overly strong, but they do need to be on the strong side and they have to have a "natural" scent that blends well with the gamey musk of the mutton tallow. You can refine mutton tallow all you want, but it will still retain a characteristic scent, and it's important to make sure that whatever essential oils you are using blend well with that scent.
That sounds like an awesome idea and a fantastic soap. What about the Glacial MITA? I'd LOVE to have that one again because I think it's magnificent!
I told her this and she said SHE was going to order just one shave soap for me and get a bunch of soaps for her!!!!
Rod, I will be attending the May 13 get together in Adrian, Michigan. I see Stirling is listed as one of a number of vendors to be in attendance. Will you have a full compliment of soaps there?
This totally works. And get your kids in on it too. My son uses the shave products, and my daughter loves the bath soaps and lotions. That way I can order something for something for myself under the guise of a kid asking for more of something.
