    Birthday shave today:

    Razor: 1954 Gillette Super Speed (My birthday quarter Z 1)
    Blade: Astra SP
    Brush: Stirling 2 band finest badger with fan knot
    Soap: Stirling Tsuka (BoS)
    A/S splash: Stirling Tsuka (BoS)

    First time I used my birth quarter razor and quite liked it. The handle is smaller and thinner than I am used to but I like smaller handles. I'll have to give this razor some more run.

    Happy Birthday, John. I don't blame you for featuring your report on that special razor. May it be safe to presume, though, that your failure to comment on the BoS was because you took it for granted it would be great, anyway??? :)

    You are right (as usual) Paul. The fact that I used it for my birthday shave and that I have praised it so heavily in this thread, I hope tells you that I love the stuff. Thank you for the birthday wishes Paul.
