i would say very close to Imperial Leather.the English Leather has a sharp note right out of the bottle with more unrefined middle notes,darker raw leather perhaps,Imperial leather has a creamier,smoother air about it.
Menthol Monday: One helluva Grand Freeze! L’Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/7 AM day 8 Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS Stirling Glacial Wintergreen ASB Stirling Glacial Wintergreen WH Brut Deodorant Spray Brut EdT My face is going to need just about the whole day to thaw out after this heavy duty menthol bombardment - even the L’Oreal facial wash has some menthol in it although it’s relatively mild. The Glacial Wintergreen scent to me is beautiful - it really filled my bathroom when I was lathering up with the soap, the menthol sensation pummeled my face from the second the brush made contact, each pass felt colder, and the postshave feeling was so comfortable. The matching balm and witch hazel added lots of extra iciness as well as soothing. I actually enjoy the Brut fragrance a lot because it’s so old school and even barbershoppy. L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/new Derby Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade SS Prep ASB Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade AS Splash This Glacial Strawberry Lemonade soap and aftershave are not only frigidly cold, the scent is so delicious. The strawberry is the more dominant feature but the lemon comes through also, the soap’s tallow formula gives it such awesome lather that whips up so easily, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The Prep is my favourite balm since a few years for a very good reason - it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing, and the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave went on with its gorgeous, long lasting scent and such an intense menthol kick. Interesting. Maybe one difference is tht Electric can come in Glacial, whereas Sheep is just that. (So far as I know ayway-the doc can prove me wrong).

The Prep, together with the Rubby Dubby Doo completed the job perfectly. Finally the magnificent Bleu de Chanel fragrance and I’m ready to enjoy another relaxing day of retirement. The Eau Sauvage fragrance is also wonderful because it pairs so well with the Glacial Lemon Chill stuff. Three passes gave me such a brilliant BBS shave that was so much fun! Capra soap as a facial wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Derby day 8 Stirling Glacial Obsidian SS Prep ASB Osage Rub AS Splash There’s enough menthol in this Glacial Obsidian soap to cause discomfort for anyone who is not able to tolerate such cold stuff - not everybody is a Menthol Monkey like me. Do I ever love the black licorice scent, it’s such a pleasure to lather, the slickness is something for the books, the menthol sensation is totally off the charts, and it’s got the typical fabulous Stirling skincare. The Prep always moisturizes and soothes my skin beautifully, and the Rubby Dubby Doo froze the living crap out of me. Three glorious gave me such a dynamite BBS shave that I enjoyed so much! Friday morning’s Grand Freeze: L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Derby day 5 Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade AS Splash It’s been so long since I had a good Grand Freeze so today I decided to pull out some of my coldest stuff. The Glacial Strawberry Lemonade scent is so beautiful - to me the strawberry is the more dominating feature but the lemon is there too. The soap provided tons of rich, creamy, super slick lather, the menthol sensation hit me like an icy cold sledgehammer, and the postshave feeling felt so comfortable. The Gold Bond moisturizer works surprisingly well as a balm - it’s very soothing as well as mentholated, and the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave smells as beautiful as the soap not to mention how frigid it is. L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Wilkinson Sword/Wilkinson blade day 2 Stirling Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Floid Vigoroso AS Splash Mama mia am I ever frozen stiff from using this setup - the Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap’s gorgeous scent filled my bathroom, the lather was sumptuous, the menthol sensation pummelled my face relentlessly, and the postshave feeling was wonderful. The Stoffel balm has such a nice minty scent, it’s also frigidly cold, and it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing. Last but not least the Floid Vigoroso aftershave with its lovely old school barbershop scent along with its potent menthol kick finished the job. Sunday morning: L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Astra Green day 3 Stirling Gin & Tonic on the Rocks SS Prep ASB Booster Iced Lime AS Splash It’s been at least two years since I last used the Gin & Tonic on the Rocks soap so I thought I’d give it a bash this morning and I’m so happy I did because it’s such a delightful soap. Like all of Rod’s soaps this one is tallow based, it has a beautiful scent which is a blend of lemon, lime, and juniper berries along with a shot of menthol, the lather is such a pleasure to work up, it feels so cooling and refreshing, not to mention how comfortable the postshave feeling is. The Prep gave me tons of additional soothing care, and the Iced Lime aftershave’s scent is so old school and barbershoppy - just the way I love it - it pairs so nicely with the scent of this soap. My cherished Super Speed, with the help of the Astra Green blade gave me an unbelievably brilliant BBS shave that was so much fun! Enjoy your Sunday and your shaves - be well and stay safe! Menthol Monday: L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Astra Green day 12 Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade SS Prep ASB Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade AS Splash Lately I’m saving my Glacials for the spring and summer but today I wanted to go with one of them so I selected the Strawberry Lemonade soap and aftershave. Wow, do I ever LOVE the scent - the strawberry seems to be the more dominant feature but the lemon shines through also. The soap’s tallow formula promotes such great lather with tons of the typical awesome Stirling slickness, the menthol sensation can freeze your face to smithereens, and the postshave is A1. The Prep balm really gave me a wonderful soothing and moisturizing feeling with some additional menthol cooling, while the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave hit me with two boatloads of frigid menthol - its gorgeous scent is also long lasting. My God, does this soap ever smell awesome, the tallow formula gives it magnificent lather that’s so slick, the menthol sensation is killer cold like all the Glacials, and the skincare is numero uno. The Prep and the Rubby Dubby Doo as I call the Osage Rub provided plenty of extra soothing, moisturizing, and tons of additional menthol goodness. Last but not least the gorgeous Bleu de Chanel fragrance and I’m ready for another relaxing day of retirement. Three passes gave me a stunning BBS shave that was so much fun! I enjoyed everything about it - the beautiful lemony/citronella/eucalyptus scent, it lathered so thick, rich, creamy, super slick as well as protective, the menthol sensation started to pummel my face right away, and the postshave care was so comfortable as well as soothing. Needless to say the Prep provided lots of additional cooling, moisturizing care, and do I ever LOVE the lovely old school barbershop scent of the Floid Vigoroso aftershave as well as its icy cold menthol kick. Friday morning: King C. Gillette Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson Sword day 9 Stirling Sharp Dressed Man SS Aloe Vesta Moisturizer Bleu de Chanel AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick Bleu de Chanel EdP Man oh man not only do I look gorgeous, (according to my wife!) I smell gorgeous. The Sharp Dressed Man soap provided tons of thick, rich, super slick beautifully scented lather as well as wonderful postshave care - my dear brother Rod is a true soap and aftershave genius. The Aloe Vesta moisturizer gave me great soothing, and finally the magnificent Bleu de Chanel fragrance in its aftershave, deodorant and eau de parfum completed the job.
