E.M.D.E. Bros. "The Improved Magnetic Eagle Razor" Germany 6/8+inch. Full Hollow This was part of a razor lot, that I paid $20 Total. Two straights, a Gillette Slim Adjustable, and a couple of old manual Barber Shears. The EDME Bros has light rusting, and solid scales. It should clean Up nicely. Slim Adjustable N-4
Oxford Razor Warranted Germany Germania Cutlery Works Germany(On the back side) 11/16th Full Hollow This was a part of the razor lot above. This Oxford had a lot of rust, but after the picture, a scouring pad knocked most off the tang, and it could be read. It will be a fine user grade razor. The scales are Bone. Before any restoration.
From top to bottom Richard Herder 1 I tought this was a ERN not so sure know Stamp is a bowler hat R.L. & W. Diamant on the blade. The last one is a erik anton berg. The nice part is the shark on the scales.
Straight razor Respect. I can't find it on the german razor maker list. I recently posted that diamond was a trade mark of ERN. I'm not sure anymore. It looks more like some qualification of the steel. The razor is indeed magnetic. I found one razor like this on the gut-rasiert.de forum.
I have this similar (identical) German blade made for the Zacour Bros of Pittsburgh, PA. Guy (@ram57) posted a Griffon Cutlery Antelope, that looks to be the exact same blank- used it on the 23rd in the SOTD. I was thinking Griffon might be our manufacturer. Tom
Here’s a couple incoming. Vendor’s images except for the image of the boxed Le Grelot Fleur d’Acier. First up is a wide flashy user grade Filarmonica 14 Sub Cero, one of my favorite shavers. I know the seller and she made me a quite good offer. This one will probably go to Alfredo for detailing as I have to send some other things up too. Second is something that I thought that I’d never obtain, a spare blade for my Le Grelot Fleur d’Acier which has only one intact blade. Not that a Le Grelot Coupe Celeste in good order is anything to turn up your nose at. Lol, now I have to start looking for the spare Coup Celeste blade! It never ends does it?
Congrats on both, but especially love that 14 Filly - and the red scales. It’s another one on my one day, someday list
Thank you Karl, don’t wait too long, most of us aren’t getting any younger. A good Filly 14 is something that you can use for a long, long, time!
@Steve56 , I saw that one, and thought hard about buying that Fili 14. I was hoping one of us would buy it. Great score.
Sometimes you stumble upon a trove. Nine NOS Richard A Herder 326 And to my surprise a schäfer travel razor, a henckels zwilling frlodur 14, and a holeka. Only the holeka has some serious rust. I suspect from the scales.
