Well you sure can’t with the edge it had. They took 100 years off the freaking edge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I enjoy the shave that the ERN 929 provides. Good size and nice jimping - maneuverable. Nice purchase!
Och Aye the Noo Tom..I Forgot..You have a Welsh Yellow Lake Branded Stone..Well..I Can Only Talk of My Stones Again But..The Yellow Lake After My Coticule is Some Combo Finisher..Taking them Off the Yellow Lake at around the 16 K Mark Zips Up the Coticule Edge Whilst Retaining the Butter Smoothness of the Coticule.. For Me its a MIRACULOUS Shaving Edge..Touched by a Fair Maidens Hand..I Kid Ya Not.. Billy..
My Silicone Carbide Arrived Today..I Lapped My Recently Acquired Dark Blue Thuri with 80 Grit & 220 Grit Silicone Carbide..I then Lapped it with 350 Grit to 1000 Grit Wet n Dry..The 80 Grit Silicone Carbide Made Short Work of Taking the Chips Out of this Stone & the 220 Grit Silicone Carbide Took the Scratches Out in Jig Time.. This Stone is Not the Hardest But Not the Softest Either..Took Me around 20 Minitues from Start to Finish & its as Cheap as Chips & a Wee Bag will Probably Last a Lifetime..Canny Whack it..This Stone is Uber Flat & Uber Smooth..Superb Stuff.. Billy..
Great Stuff that Silicone Carbide Scott..That 80 Grit is Like Man..A Fast Cutter..Real Gritty..The 220 Grit Took Out the Scratching s from the 80 Grit in No Time..I Am Blown Away with this Stuff..A Doddle to Use an All.. Billy..
Yeah Ive been using the silicone carbide powder, its very quick and easy to lap any stone, a bit messy but better than sand paper for me.
Aye its Messy..I Done the Work Over the Bath Tub..It was Like a Miners Coal Pit..Washed Away No Probs Mind.. Billy..
Dubl Duck Satinedge just arrived today. I couldn't pass on this one. I threw out a low bid, and won. $15.50. It just needed a little polish.
These 2 are on my bench. The Birmingham shave works is a real beauty just needed a little polish and honing. The Hibbert and Spenser had broken scales but I had another set so a good clean and repin she should be good to go.
