Jarrod doesn't like me either. I called him out, regarding his business ethics, and posted.his own words to prove my point. That and I think Convex Hones are a bad idea, and explained why. He even slams me on every one of his ebay sales in the description section. I'm living "Rent Free" in his brain, as are @gssixgun , and @Steve56 ... ..
A little tour around the world in the mailbox… Another C.V. Heljestrand MK31 in ivory Purchased for the scales, as they are well preserved, but the blade was better then I thought. Germany was up next… a pre-Dovo Bismarck. Big hunk of steel at 15/16” with minimal hone wear. I enjoy these bigger, early Bismarcks. Finally a J. Champon & Co. I need to do some research but going with Sheffield. Probably an old regrind and a rescale, but nice big blade at 7/8+. Happy hunting. Tom
Very nice all the way around. If you ever run into a nice MK 31 blade that needs replacement scales please let me know. I have a pristine set of scales but no blade

Just arrived from my friend Julien in France, 6/8 Le Grelot Merle Blanc. I’m cleaning it up and honing it. The orange on the spine in the second image is just a reflection from a nearby orange towel. `
I haven't been around here in a while. Went the beard route for a bit but am now getting back into SR's. Couple of recent eBay scores... The top one is a W&B 8/8"+ FBO and the bottom is a 27/32" W&B. I've wanted a 8/8 blade for years so I was pretty stoked to find one in pretty great shape. Side note, has anyone done business with eBay seller "davidwork2003"? Got both of these off him. Great communication and overall seems a great guy. Another side note: I'm not much of a photographer, lol.
My last is this. It's signed The Celebrated Medium Size Hollow Ground and Made and Ground in Sheffield / Eng I have find only info linked with Wade and Butcher but my is not signed :-( I need info thx https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/celebrated-medium-size-hollow-ground-1849662752
Nice finds. Don't worry about the stamp. You need to take some sandpaper to the top one, to see how deep the pitting is. I do hope it is salvageable. The top one should be a fun restoration project. .
Back in 2010, Robert Williams prototyped and then came out with a limited run of 25 “The Purist” symmetrical kamisori blades. He then rolled out a production/semi-custom version a couple years later, including a Regal version with some pretty cool tang options. Blade 23 of that first 25 popped up, in a rough condition. Seller’s photos: Right in my wheel house... cool blade, cool story, available at a cool price. Arrived in the original Cocobolo base with “The Purist” engraving. As far as how much work to do, I’m not sure. But I spent some time with just 3M Marine Metal Restorer & Polish, followed up with Renaissance Wax on the blade and stand. Good enough for now. The water spots are better. I enjoy these older modern customs. Happy hunting. Tom
