Cattaraugus green lizard , my first straight razor purchase. It'll be on its way to @gssixgun next few days to get worked over.

Stopped at a small antique shop on my way home and picked up these two 16 dollars for the pair. A cattaraugus and a crane brand with met cut co ny stamped in the other side. I'd like to know more about the crane brand robert klauss?

 

Good find. But, I would like a better look at the blade with the crackled scales. Hopefully the lighting was playing tricks.

It's hard to go wrong, with a Japanese Razor. They loved to use Swedish Silver Steel.

 

I've heard nothing but great things, I didn't think they'd make anything horrible given their artisan nature!! I'm extremely stoked to get a hold of those two!

 

‘White’ in Japanese razor steel terms usually means Hitachi white steel #2, aka Yasuki steel, Y.S.S., Y.S.S. 2, Y.S.S. H 2, etc.

Magnificent steel, get ‘em when you can.
