Not at all these are going to be the old dogs new look. I will keep the concept of same materials but I am going to change the shape of the scales to be a bit more entertaining but still classy. I just got 7 others Done just wait until I show you guys the results! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
F.W.Engels Special. 12/16th inch. Solingen-GR. Germany. I've been drooling over these razors, for a while. I've only seen a couple on this forum, and they put the bug in my head. I've been seeing these, rarely, on Ebay, in good condition,. But, this one had solid scales, and the blade didn't look too bad. This will be the next project razor I work on. Anyone know if these had blued tangs?? I ask, because it looks like it might have been originally blued.
You will enjoy the Engels .It is made with Engels Proprietary Argo Steel .It will hold an edge for a long while . It should take a awesome edge .
My first razor about a month new to me 5/8 barber notch JR Torrey It has some Japanese on the scale if anybody can help decode?
This one has been on my mind for some time since I saw it a couple of weeks ago. Tonight I broke down. Nice 11/16 Mappin & Webb in ivory scales. Now the waiting begins.
MK Triple Crown Sculpt Japanese Straight Razor 4/8th Pinald Clubman Poraso Azur Lime Creme Generic Boar Brush Nice shave, great for tight areas, I prefer bigger razors, but a fine razor. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
T.Hessen Bruch & Co. "Perfection" Warranted. I Liked the Bear, on the tang and scales. It needs a little TLC, but it should restore well.
"The Artist" Levering Co. Hamburg Ground, Germany. It has a cracked scale, which I should be able to fix, and a little pitting. More work. But, for $6.75 total, I couldn't pass it up.
By restoring that vintage beauty, you'll be doing God's work. Fair winds and following seas in your voyage!
