The Straight Razor Acquisition Thread

Not at all these are going to be the old dogs new look. I will keep the concept of same materials but I am going to change the shape of the scales to be a bit more entertaining but still classy. I just got 7 others Done just wait until I show you guys the results!

I've been drooling over these razors, for a while. I've only seen a couple on this forum, and they put the bug in my head. I've been seeing these, rarely, on Ebay, in good condition,. But, this one had solid scales, and the blade didn't look too bad. This will be the next project razor I work on. Anyone know if these had blued tangs?? I ask, because it looks like it might have been originally blued.

 

You will enjoy the Engels .It is made with Engels Proprietary Argo Steel .It will hold an edge for a long while . It should take a awesome edge .

 

I just hope I can get it looking nice again.

It has some Japanese on the scale if anybody can help decode?

6/8 ERN Gong round nose, bake light scales

 

This one has been on my mind for some time since I saw it a couple of weeks ago. Tonight I broke down.

Nice 11/16 Mappin & Webb in ivory scales. Now the waiting begins.

 

Mappin and Webb straights are great shavers.Enjoy

and scales. It needs a little TLC, but it should restore well.

It has a cracked scale, which I should be able to fix, and a little pitting. More work. But, for $6.75 total, I couldn't pass it up.

I just got this Gloria Ribbon Japanese Straight Razor in, it looks like it's in very good shape . I can't wait to try it out in a few minutes.
