Yes it's in fabulous shape. I always like to see for barbers use only on a razor. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Not a razor, but a good razor storage box is nice to have around. This one is in oak, and I have another smaller one with a leatherette covering that holds 9 razors. This one holds 15, and if I remove the scissors insert it should hold 20. That will hold a robust ‘rotation’ and clean up some clutter. It had the key as my other one does, and the latch works. Smells like mothballs though so it needs airing out.
You are one lucky man! I would love to find one myself! I have been looking particularly for this one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good luck, that particular razor was the one on my bucket list, however this one is 1A to it. I hope you find it, when you do, do not hesitate to pull the trigger. Last I have heard he isn't making them any more. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
I can personally confirm that as I have contacted Charlie directly and with numerous attempts to see if he has changed his mind... he has remained in his hiatus despite my efforts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I contacted him many times as well, unfortunately the supply is nowhere near the demand for his one of a kind razors. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
I have almost the exact same one, has a sticker that is printed "The Tool Chest Brand" "Belaro" inside the lid
That is a great find, I also have been looking for something like that. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Not sure where to post this but I wanted to share my joy. This is not a recent acquisition but the scales are new. This was a great razor except it had terrible scales, they were cheap plastic with a strange patterned film on them. As much as I liked the razor I hated the scales so I sent it off for some plastic surgery to Kevin's @HolyRollah Razor Face Lift and Plastic Surgery Clinic. I am just thrilled with the results and here some pics, mostly from Kevin. Before pic, also before the film started peeling: Now the razor is reborn:
Keith, that internal pattern/grain amazingly matches the shape... what is that made of? That is gorgeous!
Just looked it up... very cool, sustainable material. And the company is located a stone’s throw away from me up here in the Pacific Northwest. And that layered effect really works well for the sweeping SK1 scale design. I need to remember this. Thanks again Keith and beautiful work Kevin @HolyRollah.
This is another one I acquired several weeks ago. Carl Rader 6/8 Soligen it was the throw in razor in the lot I purchased. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
