Sunday shave, October 15th 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm with a Yaqi Milano handle 316 SSP- Mfg 2021>, Tame mid range. Simple clamping system with small head parts(I work over a small wash cloth when assembling blade to head.). I find this razor easy to work my beard and nimble enough to reach under the nose area. Great shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline p30(2) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity for AC blade.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda cream- nice mild scent of Lavada and a slight touch of mint + excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi "Mountain lake" 24mm 2band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Very nice over all brush for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda cologne AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur AC 50mm SE with a Schick proline p30 blade. Good pairing of razor & blade IMO.

Sunday SE Shave, October 22nd 2023

Razor : 1st Generation Gem Open comb 1912, the real McCoy- Mfg 1912-17 OC version, mild to tame mid range. Well built to last with some care, this was the corner stone for the Gem manufacturing company(ASR) that became a large producer of fine shaving products with many other brands added later to become ASR corporation umbrella of Mfg companies that are still using same trade marks 110 +years later (Personna & Treet). Gem went to a 1912 closed comb version in around 1918 to the 1940's & that was a improvement for smoothness and strength and a huge success in the razor world.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (2) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable and safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock American barber, different linear scent(cologne like) but is appealing, texture is slightly drier than their other soaps but the results are excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Red Zebra" 26mm snow leopard synthetic knot. Excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my favorite brushes because of knot and handle combination sizes.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock American barber splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem 1912 OC with a coated Gem blade. Cheeks BBS and neck area DFS+.

Sunday Schick shave, October 29th 2023

Razor : Schick injector E2 type, Canadian variant- Mfg 1930's-40's, midrange. Well designed and simple way to shave with just injecting blades, built to last generations with a little care and once mastered gives nice shaves with a light touch. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Schick injector coated. Sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum and sandalwood- nice Bayrum with some clove + great lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Lucky dice" 26mm brown whiskers fan synthetic knot. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum with Sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Schick E2 with a Schick injector coated blade.
