Lately our weather is on the hot side so a setup like this is most welcome. Rod’s Glacial Strawberry Lemonade soap and aftershave are not only frigidly cold, they have such a gorgeous scent which goes so well with this kind of weather - the strawberry notes are more dominant but the lemon still comes through. The soap’s tallow formula promotes such awesome lather that has tons of the famous Stirling slickness, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the skincare is numero uno. The Prep moisturized and soothed my skin perfectly while the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave gave me its delightful scent along with a MONSTROUS menthol punch. The Rapira blade reached the end of the road but it gave me one last hoorah with a brilliant three pass BBS shave that was so much fun!

Schick Sunday Shave, June 25th 2023

Razor : Schick Golden 500 injector with hydro magic- Mfg 1957-64, tame mid range. Long handled injector 5 3/8"(unisex razor?), well built to last and feels great in the hand. Personally long handles are aimed at women for shaving their legs is what I figure.
Had a close shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE(6) very sharp, great longevity smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Razorock The Dead Sea, very nice unique scent with excellent lather qualities. On 2 tub of this great soap.
Brush : Yaqi "Lucky dice" 26mm brown whiskers fan synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my favorite brushes, nice large handle with a quality knot, Won this on the Yaqi live sale.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock The dead Sea AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 2 small chin weepers= excellent shave with my Schick Golden 500 with a Personna coated blade.

Sunday Schick shave, July 2nd 2023

Razor : Schick E2 injector, Canadian variant- Mfg 1930'-40's, mid range, well built and designed to last generations with a little care. One of my most enjoyable Schick injectors. Had a great shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector(8) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier- nice scented soap (Aramis clone) + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "black Marble" 24mm Tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. This brush was my first Yaqi brush and it was purchased on defect sale about 3 yrs ago, it is one of my best brushes and got me interested in the Yaqi brand.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier AS + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Schick E2 with a Personna coated blade.

Sunday SE Shave, July 9th 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC with a Yaqi Milano 316 SS Polished- Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple blade clamping and machining and finish are great for my shaving needs. This little razor head is just perfect for my shaving needs 95% + of the time and it will be in my den for a long time and I have some back ups also I bought on sale months ago on the cheap. Small head parts makes me want to assemble over a wash cloth & seems to work the best. Had a stellar shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Schick Proline - sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice rejuvenating interesting clean scented with excellent lather qualities. Hard to beat this soap for quality lather IMO.
Brush : Yaqi "Rainbow" 26mm brown whiskers synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish countryside splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent stellar shave with my Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC with a Schick proline coated blade. Good combination of razor + blade equals great results.

Sunday Schick shave, July 16th 2023

Razor : Schick i2 with the hydro-magic feature- Mfg 1954-57, mild to tame mid range, excellent design for quick cleaning of blade + finish is adequate for my shaving needs. Very nice razor to work the face and received a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector (11) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity. I usually toss after 10 shaves but the blade was showing good life left so why not give another 1 or 2 shaves I was thinking.
Soap : Razorock Emperor- sharp parallel scent that's unique with excellent lather qualities. I enjoy the aftershave scent slightly more.
Brush : Yaqi "Red Zebra" 26mm snow leopard synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my favorite synthetics for performance and in the hand feels natural.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Emperor after shave with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 weeper operator error = excellent shave with my Schick i2 with a Personna injector blade.
