Today is the 72nd anniversary of the flag-raising on Mt. Suribachi, Iwo Jima. SecDef James Forrestal at that time said, "The raising of that flag, guarantees a Marine Corps for the next 500 years". OOORAH!!!
The Marines and their Navy Corpsmen showed amazing courage under fire in that battle. I thank the Lord above that I've never had to go do that.
