On rare times, I have been forced to shave with a bar soap, such as Ivory, or Dove, or Camay. It has worked good for me, but yes, I would agree it is not the best way.
I've tried Dove before myself. It worked fairly well- course it's not exactly "regular" bar soap either...
It's not? It is a cream soap, yes? This I always thought--and I found it good for shaving, and with very good skincare. My wife uses it a lot for her showers, or baths.
Cream soap is a good way of describing it in my book. Better than what I could have said. BoyE can probably say more about it later since he knows more about shower soaps than me...
Me too, I don't doubt that. It was just a joke since you said he was extraordinary and that is also his name here.
Dove, Caress, Olay, etc. are not true soaps but "beauty bars." They're formed like soap - they're bars, not liquid - but they're a fusion of soap and detergent. Consequently, they can't be dubbed soap on their boxes but something finicky like "beauty bar." At the end of the day they're for little girls. -BOYEXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTRRAAAAAAAAAAAAORDINAREEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember, Jeff, I went from "Plow" to this beautiful & distinguished name.
Since they are not "true" soaps by FDA definition, they cannot be called soap; only a "bar"; like a beauty bar.
