Thanks for the feed back. The scent sounds mysterious and I am looking forward to using this soap. I have pretty well disposed/traded/PIF'd all of my "big name/factory" soaps and creams for the artisan soaps. All of the artisan soaps in my den have names I can pronounce and understand.

I have a puck of Spice Islands for tonight's shave. Looking forward to trying it out.

The tub of Land Locked arrived. After a day of home improvement work yesterday, I took an early shower and shave and used this soap. Folks, it is wonderful. Great slick lather; easy to lather; very nice scent. Definitely a keeper and highly recommended. I am not sure I would have made the purchase out right but am happy I made the trade.;)

From my experience, these artisans don't cut corners, and that is why they are a little pricey. After 40 years of foam, I'll pay just about anything I can and have to to avoid the canned goo.

I agree with, "these artisans don't cut corners." The soaps in my rotation are Strop Shoppe, Barrister and Mann, and JabonMan. The JabonMan runs about $26.00 a tub from Manuel in Barcelona, Spain but, for me, it is well worth every penny and an excellent value when I look at ease of lathering, the quality of the lather, and shave comfort. Plus these three artisans put out some interesting, off the beaten path scents. Manuel's Wet Earth is unlike any scent I have encountered. Will's Roam is different and wonderful. The Tiki is nice too. I am loving the artisan line of soaps I have acquired.:)

If you haven't tried Cold River Soaps yet, they're great too. Just had my first shave last night with it. For me, it's gotten to the point now where several of the artisan soaps are so good, that I can't tell them apart. I just reach in and pull out a soap to shave with and don't worry about which one it is.
