  1. She gave me another Rocky Mtn Sandalwood shave cream. I’ll get around to using it eventually.

  2. Oh she did, huh? I flipped mine, as I am not much for the concept of "Shaving Soap Creams". I'm a shaving SOAP freak.

    Klar Kabinett~~Semogue 2012 SE Mistura~~Boker Hollow Ground~~Royall Lyme
    Day...:signs002::signs002::signs002:
    I give up. Lost count.

I am using the Klar 'til it aint no mo.
The mistura knot on this Semogue hit a homer with some sumptuous suds.

    Shiny, right?
Thought I was grabbing my Wosty Pipe razor, but ended up with my Boker Hollow.
    Great shave. Chin work...B-
No mishaps, just not as smooth as I get with my DE's.
    Like the ring?
    Me, too.

You all inspired me to rotate the hardware aspect of my shave and use something a little more high-end. I went with the Wild West Brushworks Jungle Ebonite sporting a Maggard 26mm SHD two band knot. For the razor I went with the .95 OC Timeless loaded with the same ole Persona Lab Blue. Of course continuing to 3017 the Route 66 soap. This bush definitely eats more soap then the little 22mm synthetic I rotated out. The super firm badger knot with it's super soft gel tips is a real luxury. The timeless is much more efficient then the RazoRock BBS with quite a bit more blade feel. I did manage to pull off a two pass shave without error and ended oh so smooth.

Have a great evening my friends!

Well the week marches on with the start of a new month. School will soon be starting which means the already horrible Atlanta traffic will get much worse. The good news is that I had a wonderful shave to start the day. Take care everyone and have a great day.
  7. Day 9
I spent an extended weekend out at the lake, but am now back home and shaving in the den. I’m taking my vacation time a few days at a time and then going into work for a few days.

I’m not sure I’m wearing this soap down at this rate, but such great lathers for sure.

  8. Jason, A long weekend at the lake sounds lovely! I'm glad you are enjoying your time, even if it is a little here and a little there!
  9. Thanks, Andrew. I’m trying to balance some work stuff around my kids sports and work schedules. My son is going into Grade 11 and has a part time job at a local restaurant that we, obviously, need to have him in town for. My daughter has Highland Dance competitions in the summer as well. It seems to be increasingly rare that the four of us are together at anything now. Cherish the years you have together when your kids are young, my friend.
  10. That is so very true. It is very rare that we have both girls together at the same time. Even those times often have friends or boyfriends involved

    Klar Kabinett~~Simpson 90th Anniversary Astor~~George Wostenholm Pipe Razor~~Royall Lyme
    Picked the correct razor today.
    The
Wosty-size is my "Goldilocks" size...just right.
Lot's of guys like large razors, but not Primo. I need a razor that is as nimble as I am.
Same goes for my brushes. Yeah, I got them big-ass knots, but the sweet-spot for me is 22-25mm
This Astor is limited edition (90)
Commemorated the 90th anniversary of Simpson and wowsers, what a brush.
I am fortunate to have one.
Look what it did with the Klar:

I was doing great on my chin until an awkward set down left a mark.

    Today's Dr. Mrs. Primo's birthday.
    Got a nice dinner planned.
  13. Sage advice. Sometimes it seems that we get so caught up living our daily life that time slips by. And before you know it you have two kids going off to elementary school
  14. Have a great night, Joseph!

And yes, that lather looks amazing!
  15. Happy birthday to Dr. Mrs. Primo.

Happy Thursday Everyone. This week is flying by pretty quickly. I am making a serious dent in this soap. I really think that I will be done by the end of the month or early September.

    I know it's monotonous, but that's the nature of a "TRUE" 3017.
    Primo's "knockin' it out".
Knockin' back the Lime stank, too.
Good shave with the Swedish steel.
