TSD related learnings this week... @clint64 continues to have the most enviable collection of brushes and razors of most anyone I know. As such, I plan to send him ready-to-pour cocktail mixes and send targeted DM's with pics of overpriced hardware every Friday night in hopes of clearing out my den... @wristwatchb has been spying on our house again... 3017-ing a soap that has barely been touched takes a VERY LONG time. Buying a new razor and comparing it with others in my collection leads me to shoot for a BBS for comparison sake. Shooting for a BBS is always bad. Can you say irritation? Can you say "SLOW LEARNER"? Cheers, gents...

Stirling Arkadia/Shave # 109 September 16 I threw caution to the wind and decided to try bowl lathering in order to finish out this never-ending puck of Stirling Arkadia. About 10 years ago, I purchased a Robert Becker scuttle that I have never used. Today was my first serious (well you know what I mean) attempt at bowl lathering. From this day forward, I will refer to this scuttle as the... Lathertron® (all rights reserved) Note the small red carpet under the Lathertron®. That's just how I roll. What remained of the Stirling Arkadia puck before the 109th shave... After a few hundred swirls of the brush while carefully and meticulously adding water in one-gallon increments... After 3 passes, besides what I cleaned off the walls and ceiling... I should finish the puck fairly soon at this rate. As a side note, I called my Bride in to view what lather remained after the shave was complete. I don't recall the exact exchange or the context, but the term "dadgum fool" was used. At any rate, I think she was impressed. I hope you all are having a great weekend.

September 17, 2023 Shield Predator Gem PTFE Simpson Duke 3 Synthetic Ethos Bay Rum Shave Soap PAA Atomic Bay Rum Aftershave Happy Sunday. The sun is finally out here in the ATL after a very dreary Saturday. I usually use the Duke 3 as a travel brush but I decided to give it a go this morning. This little guy really punches above its size. Overall another fantastic shave. I hope everyone has a great day. Take Care.

I agree, Joseph. I inventoried my stash and figured it was time to live a little. Day 43 Another solid shave with the Hawk ‘Jaws’…maybe I’ll keep it after all. We’ll see. On that note, what I don’t see is the bottom of this tub…the Mikes focus is not starting anytime soon for me.
