January 2, 2024 Wolfman Guerrilla Bronze with 0.84mm Gillette 7 O’clock Black Simpson CH2 Synthetic WSP Ol’Kentucky Small Batch Shave Tonic January 3 2024 Feather AS D2 Feather PAA ShaveRite 210 WSP Ol’ Kentucky Small Batch Shave Tonic Happy Wednesday everyone. Yesterday was just crazy and I never got around to posting. Thus the double posting for today. Great shave and the soap is still sinking. Nothing really new to add. Take care and have a great day.
Wednesday, January 3 I Coloniali~~Culmak 92~~Gillette #44/Astra SP~~Vintage Quorum Fresh Astra SP blade in the #44. This is a reasonably good razor. Not my favorite, but holds the blade still. The Astra is an above-average blade. Got the job done. Had some issues creating a lather with a chunk o' soap. A smaller brush would have been better, I believe. Stankin' good in the neighborhood with the vintage Puig.
January 4, 2024 Wolfman Guerrilla Bronze with 0.84mm Gillette 7 O’clock Black Rubberset 400 #3 with WSP HMW WSP Ol’Kentucky Small Batch Shave Tonic Happy Thursday Everyone! It has been a wild week for sure and looks to be a wild 1st quarter. I work with a husband and wife team. The wife had open heart surgery to replace a valve yesterday. The procedure went well and thus far appears to have been successful. If you keep her in your thoughts. With such a small primary team being down 1/3 will make for some crazy days ahead. However, it will be worth it to have her back at full speed. Another fantastic shave to start the day. The Wolfman Guerrilla is a wonderful razor. I am eager to see how it compares to my other Wolfman razors. The WSP is "done and dusted". With the big Rubberset brush, I went overboard and whipped up a mountain of lather. I should have gotten 2 shaves out of the remainder but the lather was luxurious. I just need to decide what the next target will be. Take care and have a great day.
January 5, 2024 Wolfman WR1 OC (0.61mm) Gillette 7 O’clock Black Rudy Vey with Shavemac Finest L’occitane Cade Shaving Cream Small Batch Shave Tonic Happy Friday! Moving onto another Wolfman Razor. I bought this razor before Wolfman became such a thing. At the time this razor cost about what an Above the Tie razor cost. As I recall this was the only blade gap offered with a choice of SB or OC bottom plates. I have always received very smooth and comfortable shaves with the Wolfman with this morning being no exception. Now onto the less impressive part of the shave. It has been a very long time since I have used this cream. I am not sure if I didn't use enough product or the product is just substandard. Whichever the case, the lather was just awful. I will use cream again tomorrow with more product. If I get the same results this tube is getting trashed. Take care and have a great day.
That helped a lot. Back in 2015 James had a very short waitlist as well. So even in CAD the prices were not nearly as high as today.
Friday, January 5 I Coloniali~~Declaration Grooming B14~~Gem Clog-Pruf/Gem~~Amouage Gold Man Finished up the last, little chunk of the I Coloniali. Good to the last drop. Borrowing from a page of @clint64 's playbook, my next 3017 will be... Drumroll, please... I have transferred contents into my Aesop SS bowl, for facilitating better "fast 'n loose"® lathering. See you in the funny papers.
