Friday, January 12 Ethos Bay Rum~~Semogue 2012 LE Mistura~~1947 Gillette Super-Speed/Feather~~Montale Leather Patchouli Winter is coming. (GRRM/GoT) I had enough lather to shave a tribe of bearded Norsemen. In other words, the perfect amount for my kisser. Last shave with this blade. Typical four 'n out, Feather. Stank du jour is a leather bomb. Outstanding.
This week recap: The donught of death is expanding, maybe Jan or definately by Feb this puck will be done. A pair of Brian Brown 7/8 blades and Joris DE were the weapons of choice. A new stank entered the den this week. On the weekends I shelve the Tabac and get some variety, Saturday featured a 7/8 Art Razor and one my favorite stanks.
Day 6 January 12th Gillette Goodwill Stirling Finest/ Maple Fine Classic SS Thayers PAA Et tu Day 5 was yesterday, but without a pic. The Goodwill is a fine razor, and this lather is fantastic . Not much else to say. Have a great night all!
Saturday, January 13 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson 90th Anniversary Astor~~Böker~~Barrister & Mann Kyovu Broke out the whetstones and went to work on the Böker. Started on a 4000 and worked my way up to my Shapton 16OOO Glass. Got give myself props (surprise, surprise), I was able to really improve the edge and it led to a great shave without tugging. Beautiful lather with the Ethos. Nice soap. Bay Rum stank to finish.
January 13, 2024 Wolfman WR2 ( 1.05 mm blade gap) Gillette 7 O’clock Black Zenith B29 Boar La Toja Shave Stick La Toja Aftershave Happy Saturday Everyone. Another excellent shave to start the day. I decided to go with a Zenith Boar this morning. It goes through the soap but it's not a "Soap Destroyer" like the Simpson CH2 Synthetic. Take care and have a great day.
Sunday, January 14 Ethos Bay Rum~~Vie-Long Beehive~~Dovo 91 "Sunday Shaver"~~Royall Bay Rhum (Bermuda) There is something very satisfying about creating a shave lather that looks like this: The Dove 91 wiped away most of the 24hr stubble. (Yesterday's Böker was sharper) The Royall Bay Rhum is one of my favs. Pretty cold in the Heartland

Day 7 Weekend Hotel Travel Shave Canadian Prewar Tech Simpson Sovereign / Resin Fine Platinum Classic SS Thayers Maol Frankinlime Shaved yesterday while away for work. Back in the den now, but not shaving again until tomorrow. Excellent lathers everyday with this focus soap. I’ve seen a few of your posts about temperature…it is ridiculous here…-27Celcius today and colder yesterday when I was gone. No pipes frozen, at least.
