Saturday, December 24 Day 32 Arko~~Persian Jar 2~~Cobra Classic/Feather Professional~~Creed Aventus Back to the Cobra to finish up the Arko. Pretty sure the blade, which was already loaded, is a Feather Professional. Very smooth. Decided not to fight with the slippery handle, so I liberally applied alum before each pass. Works wonders, but you have to clean it off of the razor post-shave. Received the SWMBO beat down last evening, because of the Midnight Stag. Not a chance of that today; went with some already-approved Creed stank.
Today, started a new one. With the stick I love the less ... https://theshaveden.com/forums/posts/2062987/
Erasmic is super slick!!! Perfect on SR shave with my Haza Quattroquarti. https://theshaveden.com/forums/posts/2063079/
Christmas Day, 2022 Day 33 Arko~~Simpson 90th Anniversary Astor~~Cobra Classic/Feather Professional Super~~Vetiver de Guerlain EdT Wishing everyone at TSD a very Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you and your families. I am thankful for your friendship. We have a friend that sends us a "doodle" drawing each morning. These are from yesterday and today.
Monday, December 26 Day 34 Arko~~CH2 Synthetic~~Cobra Classic/Feather~~Nasomatto Absinth Reached for the "Soap Destroyer". The term is courtesy of @clint64 in my attempt to bring an end to this seemingly, never-ending puck o' stank. As you can clearly see, I was able to create some exceptional, fast 'n loose lather: What remains at the bottom of my Aesop Stainless Steel lathering bowl, is, if I work hard enough, going to be gone before the clock strikes midnight on December 31. Lazy work on my neck, led to a below-average result. No nicks, cuts or irritation, but Primo's neck would pass the cotton ball test. Came roaring back with a super stank from the house of Nasomatto:
Pretty good shave this morning. 4 Knicks showed up around Porcupine Alley(North and South). All painless but the sight of them made me look forward to using skin-food Bill Neumann A.S. later on. Fine job everywhere else. In all, no cuts, the 4 Knicks, and no polka-dots. That many Knicks with a Stoylin soap is embarrassing. Bill Neumann aftershaves are perfect for a cold, dry day like today(course the Absolute Zero would not be, although I'm sure Ambassador Jeff from Canada would have something to say about that). . Very Excellent overall, which means "A little room for improvement".
Oh no....I described my shave in the wrong thread. Well, now that you ask me, I may have to 3017 the Albion 1925 brush....knot just came loose from the handle. I'll work on it, but I do have 8 others.
Aaaah, I'm not an everyday user of the same brush. By the way, I just took advantage of a brief Italian Barber sale, and ordered a new brush.
Glad you got a new brush, but, again, "3017" refers to using up a software product, i.e. soap, aftershave. Not your hardware, that's reserved for your 30DC thread, using ONE product for 30 straight shaves, and that can include your brush. I wonder how many shavers do that anymore. That was my standard fare and will always include challenges of any kind in my shave routine. So that is doesn't BECOME ROUTINE.
Oh ok....thought it was using up ANYTHING shave-related. I probably haven't contributed much to the 30DC thread, as I don't see myself using one product for 30 strsaight shaves, ALTHOUGH(and I just thought of this)I've used my Gillette DisposeABLE razors all the time(course not the same ONE, but the same TYPE.)
That soap will soon be gone. I have been using MWF exclusively over the last month or so. I have a pretty busy week ahead. Perhaps I can get back to taking photos and posting after the New Year.
