Well, I wss all set to use it and it suddenly turned around in my hand and I dropped it. Right, maybe I did have a part in it.
Tuesday, December 27 Arko~~CH2~~Cobra Classic/Feather~~Nasomatto Duro Day 34 Say what you will about Arko's scent, there's no arguing its lather ability. We're at the end-stage of my Arko 3017 Challenge. Truth be told, Arko was my first travel soap. Used a Wee Scot. It was a wee small. I eschewed using alum and simply made sure my paws were dry. No mishaps, just a very nice shave. Nasomatto Duro to finish.
I’m not sure how I missed this thread, but I’m just discovering the term 3017. I’ve been applying the principle (mostly) after I realized my soap collection was getting way out of hand. For several years I’ve used then “ in rotation,” but now I single ones out of the herd that look the lightest and use them daily until they’re dead. It’s a bittersweet feeling to say goodbye to tubs I’ve been using for five years.
Wednesday, December 28 Day 35 Arko~~CH2~~Cobra Classic/Feather~~YSL M7 AS This is one stubborn soap. Despite my best efforts, it is hanging on to life by a thread. The Feather blade was rough. I used it---then tossed it. Some stanky relief from one of my most favorite stank juices: YSL M7.
Y'know, when I was a kid listening to Boston Red Sox games, they had ARCO as a sponsor(Atlantic Richfield Co.-it was oil). As a proud member of this group, I can confidently say "You want to drive? ARCO is for you. You want to shave? Get ARKO, baby!!".
Starting a new 3017…this time a splash. The Barrister’s Reserve Spice is a nice Old Spice dupe, but as I’ve got 1+ bottles of the Shulton original I don’t reach for it very often. I’d guess there is right about 40ml/40% of the bottle left. This will take some time, methinks. Day 1 today:
