Wednesday, June 12 Chiseled Face Civet~~Somerset Simpson 58~~Wolfman WR1 .74 Ti/Sharp Star~~Amouage Gold 24 hours exposed to the air and the Civet soap has firmed up significantly. The 58 has a modicum of floppiness and because it tends to lose hairs, I am quite careful loading. Zero pressure, so a reasonable bloom and no digging into the soap is the order of the day. I took my time and yodeled a few tunes whilst loading. I was rewarded not only with some lovely lather, but next door cat is my new best friend. I am enjoying using the titanium Wolfman. It's a formidable tool. Went with another Civet-bomb to finish the shave.
It is decision time for the next 3017, and the competitors are; Awesome Sauce from PAA, it is Proraso dupe with top tier performance. But the tub in more than 90% and would require a repurchase. Next up is DR Harris Arlington creeam, good performance and fantastic scent. It has about 20+-% left and is a good scent for the summer. Catie's Bubbles is another contender, nice summery scent and some consider it to similar to MdC. The performance is good but not as good as MDC. Last in the beautiful bowl is Sterling Electric Sheep, I do enjoy this one is the summer. I would also enjoy seeing this bowl every morning but the soap is more than 95% left. So the next victim is...... DR Harris Arlington. It is the farthest along and does not require replacement. So for the kick-off shave I went BIG. A Kent BLK-12 monster brush, this baby is huge and oh so soft. When you want to do a six pass shave this is the one. For steel I went with an 8/8 Wacker, she is big and has an excellent edge. The inaugural shave was epic.

June 13, 2024 Feather AS D2 Feather PAA ShaveRite 210 Master Soap Creations Frosted Bay Rum Barberry Coast Bay Rum Aftershave Happy Thursday. Another great shave to start the day. I absolutely love the Feather AS-D2. Many people consider it to be too mild but it delivers the goods when I do my part. We have a pretty big day today. Asha is defending her thesis at 1 pm and we can observe online. Fingers crossed that things go well for her this afternoon. Take care and have a great day everyone.

Asha had to defend her thesis on Microsoft Teams so Swati and I were able to listen in. We had to leave the Teams meeting after her defense and then were invited back after the committee's discussion. Asha Passed.
