    A wonderful, shed-free shave.
The Tom Ford is a fantastic fall stank.

Got my head down, working towards the finale of this, rather
    strong-scented soap.
Now I know why I reached for it so seldomly.
One would think a stank master, such as myself, would relish a soap such as this...
Au contraire, mon frère, I actually do not.
The vintage Old Spice never gets old...(see what I did there?)

Which means that you get free shaves for the rest of your life, assuming you also have a large stash of blades. Even if you don't have a large stash of blades, you can shave forever spending less on blades than a Fusion cartridge user will spend in one year. Traditional wetshaving may not have taken over the market, as some predicted years ago, but it has expanded greatly over the past 25 years.

For the question in this thread title, "Why do you "3017" a product?" my answer is "None of the above". That answer is not entirely accurate, as I don't "3017" consumables, I use them until they are finished. Why? Because that is the way I, and perhaps most people, have always used consumables. Call it customary or force of habit, if you like.

Continuing my 3017---which, by definition, means using the SAME product everyday until gone.
I am not gonna lie, I am ready for this one be finished.
HOPEFULLY, by the end of next week.
TF Tuscan Leather has a raspberry opening, drying down to a very realistic leather.
    Gorgeous stank.

According to your definition or 3017, I would have to say I shouldn't be in this thread, as I can't see myself doing a "one all the way until done". Wait, I just said that!! :)

Yes, the theme of this thread is for those sticking with ONE product---using it daily, until it has expired.
That being said, it can be ANY product; soap, AS, Cologne, etc. A consumable product.
My 3017 is this Ariana & Evans Chasing the Dragon soap.

The great thing about a 3017, is that you get to reduce your den, while really learning the ins and outs of the product.
I find this soap to really excel, when I start with a VERY wet brush and a moistened puck.
Oodles of slick and stanky lather. (Dr. Mrs. Primo mos def® does NOT care for the scent)
Another "leather" fragrance to finish today's shave.

Fresh Personna 74 in the UK SS and a wonderfully, smooth shave was the result.
The Kent, purchased NOS, still tickles the nose with some
    residual badger "funk"
    1 Million Lucky...my favorite "sweetie".

No sense taking a photo of the same soap over and over.
It's still in the Aesop bowl...
    It's still there...
    Must finish this soap...
    Must do it sooooooonnnn....

Thank you Joseph. I am doing great but just got lazy on taking photos and posting.

On the 3017 front, I finished a LEA shave stick a couple of weeks ago and just finished the LEA aftershave this morning.

There's a LOT of bowl showing as I near the end of this 3017.
Thank goodness, I am just 3017'ing one product at a time, while I vary the co-stars.
IMO, Gillette reached their pinnacle vis-a-vis Super-Speeds, when they rolled out the 1947 model.
There are other great ones, but this is my favorite.
Vintage YSL M7 combo of AS and ASB to finish.
