Friday, November 15 Barrister & Mann Bay Rum~~Rubberset 400/3~~1908 Gillette/Blue Blade~~B&M Kyovu This is a candidate for a 3017. Wish B&M had stuck with their original formula.
Saturday, November 16 AoS Sandalwood (Tallow) 3017~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic Badger~~Gillette SR/Blue Blade~~Nasomatto Absinth OK, ladies and germs, this is the next 3017. I figured that this thread is all about 3017'ing a product, and at the risk of losing my meager fan base, I decided to get back on the horse and knock out another soap. There's a good amount in the tub, but seeing that I have an unopened backup and, courtesy of my friend @chazt have a MONGO-sized tub, there's no fear of me running out of this magnificent soap in the near future. So...let the Titanic begin its descent.
Sunday, November 17 AoS Sandalwood~~dubl duck #2~~Wolfman WR1/Gillette Blue Blade~~Nasomatto Duro What's the name of this thread? You can bet that's what I am all about. Knockin' out the product.
Monday, November 18 AoS Sandalwood~~Rooney~~Wolfman/Blue Blade~~Nasomatto Pardon The AoS never makes a bad lather. Scent is still quite strong. Post shave is excellent. Not sure how long I am going to use the Gillette Blue Blade. Feels like I am running an axe across my skin. "Crazy Nose" is beeeeautiful.
Tuesday, November 19 AoS Sandalwood~~Simpson "The Hive"~~1947 Gillette Super-Speed/Feather~~Kiehl's Original Musk Pluggin' along. Fresh Feather Blade made the shave effortless. The Kiehl's is a classic, musk stank. I smell...musky.
Not a chance, my friend. Taylor Swift fans may be called Swifties, but your fans will always be known as Stinkies. That's my story, and I'm stinkin' to it.
I would be too if it happened TOOOO me(you didn't read that, lol). Aaaah, you got me, you said "stinkin'"...I didn't SEE that extra N.
Wednesday, November 20 Art of Shaving (Tallow) Sandalwood~~Semogue TSN Final Edition 1/50~~Cooper Monobilt/Feather~~Burt's Bees Bay Rum Rushed the shave. Not recommended when using a Monobilt. Couple of bloody marks... What's the phrase? Chicks dig scars? They're diggin' Primo this evening.
Thursday, November 21 AoS Sandalwood~~Semogue SOC Boar~~Cooper Monobilt/Feather~~Aramis Tobacco Reserve Got right back on the horse. Lightest of touches and the results were outstanding. Were @jtspartan around---and I wish he was, he would have reminded me to tread lightly with the Cooper. When Primo moves the product to his Aesop SS Bowl, it's game on with the 3017. Finished with a stank I save for cold weather, the Aramis Tobacco Reserve. @wristwatchb ---have you ever cracked open your bottle? Now's the time.
I am back after a visit to the fatherland. Almost two weeks of Arko stick lemony goodness it is time to resume my 3017 journey. For the first shave back I went with an 8/8 Wacker Huntsman and my big Varlet for a luxurious shave. Some Oud goodness thanks to a friend. Shaving while jet lagged is dangerous but I missed my straight razors. The Ballencia pour Homme is the vintage version and was a gift from a fellow stank enthusiast. Fantastic scent, given current shipping regulations finding a vintage bottle and then shipping to South Korea feels almost impossible. Well today I do smell awesome.
Friday, November 22 AoS Sandalwood~~Varlet Mega HD~~Barbasol FH/Feather~~Vintage Aramis Havana Fine, Friday-evening shave. Smooth Face. Super Stank. What more could you ask for?
Yes, I have. Aramis Tobacco Reserve is a nice one, for sure. I'm currently 3017ing a bottle of TdH, and then I'll knock this one out.
I'm knocking out all my aftershaves one-by-one, and I'll soon be down to 1 bottle of stank. Going forward, I'll probably skip the aftershave altogether and just stick with 1 nice bottle of stank till she's used up. I'll always keep unrefined shea butter and witch hazel in my aftershave routine, though. I have a dear friend that drops by occasionally with a nice / large bottle of AS emulsion for me. They always have funny writing on the bottle, so I don't they are made in Kentucky. (The only requirement is that I have to drive him to a Piggly Wiggly, so that we can both stock up on Pig Swag.) I've been using and enjoying these AS emulsions for the past few years...they are lightly scented and actually work quite well for me at night before bed after a face wash with good 'ole MWF bath soap.
