So...you threw away your Central Texas Soap? Can't quite call that a 3017. :rolleyes005:

3017 means using the same product EVERY shave, until it's gone.

You can see, I have a long row to hoe.**
The Cobra Classic is a WOLF in Sheep's clothing. It and my neck have a love/hate relationship.
Because the blade is so wide, it covers a LOT of territory on the neck. THIS is what a true ATG pass with a straight razor would be like. Treacherous.

Arko shave # 60 tomorrow. I'm finally closing in. At least 10 more shaves left, but the Chubby 2 has moved things along a bit quicker. Will post a photo tomorrow.

Bottles of Fine L'Orange Noir aftershave and Aramis cologne are also nearing the finish line. I've had both of these bottles for maybe 7 or 8 years. It takes awhile for me to use up cologne, but I have started applying aftershave more liberally the past couple of years. Since then, I've 3017'd quite a few bottles of aftershave.

I've got some Arko and Midnight Stag percolating in the garage. Another couple of weeks, and either soap would receive approval for use from Orson Welles. I've made preliminary application to Ripley's Believe It or Not! in anticipation of 3017ing the Midnight Stag soap next. The requisite literature search revealed that no such feat had ever been attempted/survived in the history of traditional wet shaving.

I may use the Midnight Stag aftershave for charcoal starter. I did a spot check on the underside of my Weber grill to make sure this juice didn't etch the finish. The grill survived, but I had a heck of a time explaining the odor to the neighbors and the fire department. :happy102:

I enjoy following along with everyone's 3017 exploits. If we keep going at this rate, we'll all be out of soap and aftershave in 20 or 30 years. :)

Some things are better left unsaid, Paul. Besides, she'll eventually get wind of it.

I suppose I'm not the 3017 candidate I thought I might be. When I am NEAR the end of a soap or A.S., and thus not worth use for another shave, it's flipped.

If you showed her Clubman, there wouldn't be any "eventually", I bet.

Happy Wednesday Everyone. Well I did keep the run of daily shaves going very long. At least I didn't skip the entire week this time. My first outing with the Twig Razor. Color me impressed. The little guy works better than I ever expected. Overall a fantastic shave. Take care and have a great day.
