I see that they have now released a V2, which they claim to be 'tamer' than the original. Sounds like others have had similar concerns or they wouldn't have bothered.

    I have the V2. I’m so happy I never tried the V1.

Excellent lather is hiding out in this B5 knot.

Possibly the most beautifully designed razor in my den. The Cobra Classic.
Today was outfitted with a fresh, Feather Professional blade.
I had an epiphany whilst shaving today: The more shallow the angle, the more comfortable and efficient the shave.
Stark contrast to my 2011 R41, an aggressive razor and I ride the scallop-bar.
Markedly better on my neck. I started the ATG pass on the left side too steep and paid the price immediately.
Only misstep in an otherwise stellar shave.
Not pictured is my stank, Tom Ford Oud Wood.

Me three. My son is about to have an insta-den. Minus a couple that no newbie needs to have.

This Omega Evo did its best soap destroyer imitation this morning. I don’t actually see the soap going down at all, but I assume it is…

:bounce017: One Arko shave remains on the 3017! :bounce017:

It began on 11/16/22 and will end on 3/2/23 for a total of 107 calendar days.

1 Arko stick = 65 shaves, assuming Goldilocks lathering. Mos Def.

    :signs011: :signs011: :signs011:

:rolleyes005: wristwatchb strictly eschewed fast 'n loose (novice) lathering during the 3017. :rolleyes005:

No soap granules, dark boar brush hairs, or Oud scents were encountered, whilst glue dots on blades were celebrated.

Will post a photo sometime tomorrow.

    Happy Wednesday, fellow 3017ers!

Thank you so much, Jason! I sincerely appreciate it.

Are lessons on proper bowl use included for @Primotenore?

My Bride are I enrolled in a couple of six-week courses at the local university. They begin this week.

One day a week, we have a class in the morning, lunch in the student cafeteria, and then another class in the afternoon.

The Majesty, the Mystery, the Myth: Agatha Christie
The Golden Age of 20th Century Movie Comedies: Part II (1970-2000)

I bet nobody else on campus shaves with Arko. Or shaves for that matter. :) Let's see...where did I put my slide rule and my Calculus book?

Should be fun...plus we get Student ID's that we can use for discounts around town. :happy036:

You can "eschew" whatever you want, BUT, Fast & Loose lathering is so far advanced,---years of private study are required to master it.

I am continuing to make slow, very slow, progress on the MWF. Since I haven't used the Karve Overlander razor lately, I decided to give it a go today. As expected the results were fantastic. Take care and have a great day.

Very nice, Clint. How do you feel the Overlander compares to their Christopher Bradley razor? Asking for a friend...
