I find the Overlander almost the same as a Karve D plate. Maybe a little less blade feel.

    Love everything about the Karve.

I agree. It’s a razor that underwhelmed me in comparison to the original Karve D plate.

Two days in a row with the Evo knot…not trying to speed up the process, but showing some progress would be nice.

I have 3 plates with the Karve. Imho, they nailed it with the D plate. The perfect combination of smoothness and efficiency. It could be a daily driver, if I ever wanted one.

No need here...I can't remember the last time I didn't rinse at least a pass down the drain afterwards.

Well, I humbly report that the Arko will provide me with an encore shave. I have a couple of glorious grams of soap left over after shave # 65. As a result of being steadfastly committed to Goldilocks lathering throughout my 3017, I received this wonderful gift.

It's a shame these fast n' loose latherers never realize any such benefits. Ignorance is bliss. Thankfully, those of us in the know eschew these novice follies.

Wow! I am on a roll this week with work morning shaves. I have not been this consistent in a very long time. Otherwise another excellent shave to start the day.

Day Eleven of my 3017 discipline: The Fat
This is most definitely my Desert Island Shave Soap.
The only thing MWF doesn't have, when compared to today's artisan soaps, is a fru-fru scent.
This same Vie-Long Beehive used to be in my den, but I sold it, because the previous owner had worn it hard.
Snagged this one on the Bay, along with a backup bottle of Meehan Bay Rhum.

I chose my Gem Clog-Pruf MMOC and used a Gem Blade, which had maybe 3-4 shaves. Bad choice.

That's some Beehive, am I right? Can I get a Hooah?
    :transport024:

The blade was over the edge :angry032:
Not rough, but dull, I resisted...to some extent :ashamed001: the urge to make multiple strokes over the same area
Results on my neck were...meh. :shocked002:

Oh, as an addendum, not only am I shaving exclusively with Mitchell's Wool Fat, I have been using their batch soap for many years now. Terrific product.

I just placed an order with Gifts and Care from Spain. I threw in a MWF puck as it was 9.50 Euro. $10 USD/$13 CAD. Good prices.
I got two bottles of Myrsol Emulsion, the MWF puck, a LEA puck and a LEA stick shipped here for the same price as the Emulsion would cost me here without tax…not sure of their MWF bath soap prices. What you see the price listed as isn’t the ‘real’ price as we don’t pay the euro tax they include.

Unfortunately, Gifts & Care won't ship splashes to the US any longer. I bought several LEA shave sticks and 1 LEA shave cream while I was in Barcelona. The price is the local grocery was unreal. I loved the stuff so much, I bought the matching splash here in the US. Let us know what you think of the LEA.
