April 2, 2023 Tatara Masamune Tatara Semogue Feather Mitchell’s Wool Fat La Toja Aftershave Wow this weekend is going by entirely too quickly. The Masamune is another one of my razors that fits into the functional piece of art category. I absolutely adore the aesthetics of the razor. The added bonus is that the razor shaves better than it looks. I am continuing to make a dent, a slow dent, in the MWF. This thing just keeps hanging on.
Day 30 Finally… The Haslinger Schafmilch is a quality product, but I am happy to move on. Would I buy it again? Yes, but I also just got three other 3x milled pucks in the den recently, so getting the Schafmilch replaced isn’t a priority at all. I will take a break from a 3017 focus for a week or so, enjoy some other products, and then jump into another 3017 next week. I have two candidates.
Congrats Jason! Now that the slate is clear, I'll put a Tabac puck or three in the mail if you are interested.
Clint, slow and steady progress is good. You have some beautiful razors and brushes. I hope you're getting as much sunshine today as we are.
Thank you Charlie. After the thunderstorms early yesterday morning, we've had a gorgeous sunny weekend.
Monday, April 3 MWF~~Declaration Grooming B14 Washington~~British Red Tip/Light Brigade (3)~~Initio Oud for Greatness Day Thirty-Two of the most challenging MWF 3017. The DG knot is one of those "gelled" (read "damaged"), similar to the TSN X LE. Me no likey. They "look" good, but the softness is unrealistic. Give me a quality, unadulterated badger knot ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
