My Stirling Arkadia 3017 began on March 5, and today will mark shave # 18. I make just enough lather for my ~2 pass shaves, so I haven't made a huge dent in the puck. I'm not in conservation mode by any means, but I don't wind up with extra lather, either.

Same setup for the past few weeks (Single Ring, Omega boar, and Astra SP blade), so nothing new there.

My mostly every other day shaves have been really good. Two passes with touch-ups around my chin, mouth, and jawline usually provides a near BBS shave with no irritation. The game changer for me has been learning how to stretch my skin with almost every stroke of the razor. Instead of going for gradual beard reduction, I actually try to remove everything in one "perfect" stroke. There's no such thing as perfect, so I end up with the second pass and touch-ups.

I have a light beard, so every other day shaves work for me. Sometimes I'll shave more often, depending on the situation. I use witch hazel and some type of moisturizer and/or aftershave every morning and evening. I also wash my face with a repurposed puck of Arko. This routine keeps my skin in good condition and ready for the next shave. I'm currently 3017ing a bottle of Isa Knox aftershave from South Korea. It is lightly-scented (don't know why, but it reminds me of a rain forest), so I can also use it at night. It boasts having 'age-defying' properties. After using it for the past few months, I barely look 80 years old. :) It was a gift from @Keithmax, so I guess he's trying to tell me something. :D

That's it from here. I don't post my shaves often, but I'm still riding along with my fellow 3017ers.

    Happy Easter!

    Late agin with this post.

Stunning lather with some left over.
The Feather is an homage to @clint64
My first "high-end" razor and to this day, one of my favs.
The Light Brigade blade is still chugging along. It pairs quite well with the Feather.
Stank is an homage to Sean Connery, Guerlain Jicky.
This is a tester bottle from around 1972, so it's rife with Civet. :love055:
