AKA talk like a pirate day in Tampa. It is the third largest parade in the country. Not unlike Mardi Gras, just with pirates. It is actually two parades. The Saturday before is the Gasparilla Children’s Parade, a family friendly event. Today’s main event can be a sight to be seen. Depending on alcohol consumption and time of day, attendees can be very enthusiastic in the quest for bead necklaces. Some pictures complements of my Google-fu. It starts a block over from me so I'm avoiding it. I don't do crowds anymore. The girls went to the kids parade last week.
