Sad to say the Torqued is on it’s way. It’s headed to @joamo as @Jayaruh is celebrating SEptember with his single edge razors. He has asked to be moved to the end of the line.

Final word on the Torqued. Other than the Bunny, I don’t remember being this resistant to passing on a razor. Super intuitive and easy to get the right angle. Never a nick or weeper or any difficulty at all and one of the closer shaving razors out there. Not the closest but certainly above average - and all without any trace of razor burn. 10/10 for the Torqued :happy093:

I received the Tourqued from Karl G today and had my first shave with it.
I had a 4 day growth for it to mow down. Loading up a Viking Sword blade (my favorite) and whipped up a bowl of milled Speick stick while my towel got good and hot.
I found the perfect angle on my first stroke and it efficiently wiped out the whiskers in 3 pass shave.
I normally use a straight and because of my growth pattern rarely get a BBS on the neck with those. When I really want that smooth face feel, my go to is a Merkur 37C so I'm familiar with slants.
The Tourqued is an efficient and well designed and executed example of a slant, although very light in weight.

It was a big Honeydo weekend and only had the opportunity to use the Tourqued one more time. Performed very well.
It will be on its way to @jimjo1031 later today.
Thanks to @twhite for the opportunity to try the Tourqued!

Every time I look at that razor, I think, "That razor is a thing of beauty." I am glad I will get to try it out during Open Comb OCtober.

This is my mini review of the Tourqued razor. My first shave was with a Personna stainless blade. It is a sharp blade, and while I did have some blade feel, it wasn't bad. My second shave was with a Derby Extra stainless blade. I was a little surprised by how well the shave was, pretty smooth and efficient with less blade feel than the Personna blade. My third shave was with a Treet Carbon Black Beauty blade. I've always liked those blades, but it's been a while since I used one. I just don't like to pat them dry along with the razor, I'm a bit lazy. And this is where the razor shined for me. That combo gave me a very smooth shave, being more efficient than my other shaves with the Tourqued razor. I used a handle I made for the second and third shaves as it has more weight and is shorter than the original handle. Plus it has decent grip because of the carbon fiber wrap I used on it and it's thicker. And because I thought it looked good on the razor. Now I need to send it to the next person on the list, and I'm assuming it's still @Terry. I just need him to send me a PM with his address.

    Good morning tourquies.
You can tell who they are because of their slanted razors.
    20200929_125510.jpg
Got this little aluminum tool yesterday and couldn't wait to use it.
Loaded with a new Feather blade, of course, I was ready to shave.

It's lighter than it looks, but I like light razors.
The blade fits better than most and the over all construction is top notch.
The handle gives me a good grip, and it is easy to find the balancing point.

3 pass face, 3 pass head shave this morning.
The shave was good, not being a really aggressive razor it was still had ample cuttage (is that a word??) To give me a close, smooth shave.
By the end however, on the head shave is where it faltered some.
Not enough efficiency to keep the blade mowing properly at the end.
It may have been the blade was not quite up to parr, I might have to figure out the right angle, mars is in opposition.... who knows.
The next few days using it will tell.

More as I play with this cool tool.

    Good morning tourqueies.
It's been a couple days since I reported and I apologize.

    Wednesday's shave.
I was shaving along trying to adjust this baby about half way through the mug when the phone rang. Well I needed to hurry, that was not a good idea. I ran through 3 passes on lighting speed. I could not get my neck cleaned up so.........
I went over it to many times, causing some irritation. The head shave was ok till I had to shave over the spot where I'd hit my head the day before. I smacked the pointed edge of a hanging TV monitor, yes the pointed edge.
Had to stop the bleeding there with the stick then ran out the door.
So I'm not gonna count that disaster.

Yesterday I had another quick out, so I did a one pass with it and out the door I ran.
Not counting that one othe than I got a rather nice one pass.

    TODAY!
I got a chance to really play with this and have learned a few things.
First if you didn't know I always use a new Feather blade.
Using some recently received Stirling Naked and Smooth I went for the normal shave routine.
The first pass was better than the last few days, of course.
I found that this tool can be a bit mild when holding it with the handle down or riding the safety bar.
That was unexpected as I maneuvered it along my skin.
It seems that it gets more efficient (aggressive) when you ride the cap more.
I then proceeded to run it that way the rest of the shave.
Using an odd angle that didn't seem natural in the sense, like I'm used to.
I'm riding the cap using an angle that woul make most razors almost stop cutting.
I got a 3 pass head and 3 pass face shave, more of what I was hoping for.
No problem, no issues. Well the ding on the head is still bothersome, that will pass in time.
So now that I've had time to really figure this thing out, I'm off to the races.
Sorry it took so many days to report but the past few days were exceptionally busy.
    20201002_093945.jpg
Now it's unprotected aluminum and the water from my tap loves to discolor that type of metal. I've been cleaning it, then drying it well every shave.
    Even on the rushed days.
It would be helpful to have it coated in some manner.
Thanks again for the chance to do this.
I want to use it over the weekend then send it out.
    Till tomorrow....

    Hi all!
Another fine shave with this razor.
No picture needed, just a report.
Finding out the correct angle made a big difference.
    Loaded a new Feather blade.
A 3 pass face shave with a small weeper on the neck, nothing big that needed attention.
A 3 pass head shave, a bump that appeared over night, removed.
The place that I hit was an issues, not as bad as the last time so it's getting better, no bleeding there.

I can say I've gotten a shave I had hoped for.
This razor is something if a few copies were made, I'd buy one.
It does have a small angle of perfection when you shave with it.
I've experienced this with mostly mild razors, this is a very interesting tool.
    Cool tool.
Great shaver, after I figured it out.
