And thank you for telling me you liked it Bruce! It sure took some time to write and research the story, but it was actually tons of fun, and it has been very rewarding to hear from all the "Den regulars" that you were enjoying the story. :)

I enjoyed the story immensely, and am amazed at the amount of information both hunted and gleaned. Your assumptions are real world and logical. Hats off to you, your a great story teller. Great job.

What a marvelous coincidence of events,, or fate, that the razor would fall into the hands of someone who would care enough to carry on this work. Kudos.

Thanks a lot JM! Actually, I also think that the coincidence is very fortunate. Originally when I was looking for a Khaki set, my preferences was that the set should be complete (thumbtacks and all) and that the serial number should be low. I was exited that the set came with a name as well, but that was just an extra bonus. And what a bonus that ended up being!! :)

Ohh.. and I also ended up with a very good razor. I just shaved with it 5 minutes ago. It's a 100 years old, and it's still a perfect little tool.

This is wonderful research. Fascinating that you were able to bring life to your razor, and share some of Robert 's life story with us. Thank you for the work you put in to this.

They most certainly are, and that makes me happy I must admit :)

But I am also very happy to be able to finish the story, so that you Jim and many of the other "Den regulars" who have followed along since june last year (an who have commented in a very positive way) could get a chance to read the last chapter. Thanks for tagging along!

    Finally!!

After more than 4 years, I have posted another chapter in the ever growing story about Robert Mercer and his razor (and part 9 is on the way).
I wonder how many who read the posts back then are still hanging around the Den??

    Read it here:

Thank you very much Jason. I surely love doing all the research. Just wait and see what I dug up for chapter 9. :)
I have kept on returning to Robert's story for the last four years, so it was also a big surprise to me, that it was so long ago since last i posted a chapter! I am really happy that I got around to posting again.
