I have a silver plated Old Style made in Canada but I haven't been able to figure where the sn fits in with other razors. It is pretty much identical to the single ring shown in a canadian 1907 combination set on Mr Razor http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/Old%20Type/Old%20Type.htm The sn is 956794 which seems kinda high for a razor that looks pre 1910 - any ideas? Is there a list anywhere for sn numbers for canadian manufactured razors? Also - ppl talk about using a 'wedge' to get the blade off the guard for shaving with this type of razor - how do you do that? I would like to try the razor.
I haven't seen a Canadian serial number database. I have a Canadian old type with 357993 s/n and I'd like to know as well.
