What Happened to Hoglahoo?

I was just waiting for the tournament to begin! I hope my score is good enough to get to the second round, Baloosh will probably beat me on his "first try" !

 

the winner gets a $100 gift certificate at the shave den store- I thought everyone was told already?

I blew this one - first scratch on the break, second game hit the 8 ball in the wrong pocket, third game missed the 8 ball and they treated it like a scratch...

 

Here are the stats so far:

Hoglahoo defeats Mr. Tadashi in a close match, 8440 to 8370 and advances to the final round.

Old Fat1 defeated Asylum Guido 7850 to 7690 and moves on to face the winner of the Duckster Infotech match.

In the semi-final round we have Oldfat1 vs. Duckster/Infotech.

That winner will face Hoglahoo in the finals to be crowned king of 8-ball.

Side bets are optional and not for investment purposes.

 

That sucks. I reloaded my first two games without thinking. I caught wind of how unwise that was when I saw that I was playing 3/3 already without a score

Well I scrathed on the break 1st game and the computer made the 8 ball 3rd game.

I just realized... I got paired up in the first round with the username that has like every single freakin' record on every single freakin' game in the Arcade! No wonder he whooped me like a rented mule.

I say again. RIGGED.

 

So who won. The tournament is completed but there is no score.

I still have not figured out how you get the score so high. I run the table and get maybe 3-5k. COmbinations don't even get me that high.

 

If you run the table from first break, you'll have at least this many points:
500+1280+1170+1060+950+840+730+1500 = 8030
You run the table and only get 3k - 5k? If you miss the break and the computer scores a couple, then I could see you running the table and only ending up with 5k

I was quite fortunate in my last game to pocket 3 solids on the break. So then of course, I chose stripes - giving me 11 balls with points! I didn't run the table, but I only missed once or twice, and since the computer player missed, I was able to hold on to quite a few points.

A combination doesn't really give you many extra points other than on the break, only 10 points per additional ball pocketed (assuming the additional ball pocketed is yours, otherwise you receive no extra points)

So, I had something close to this: 500*3 + 1280 + 1170 + 1060 + 950 + 710 + 610 + 500 + 1500 = 9280
