TTO Week 11/5-11/11

Thursday: Gem OCMM + Gem stainless blade (#2)

Excellent shave! I really, really enjoy using the OCMM. The weight, the balance, the effectiveness, the looks (just plain brass no need for anything more).

Well, it is a TTO (Toggle To Open)!

 

Today it was the '58 SS with the same Astra SP blade I've been using since Monday. Although almost identical, I get better shaves out of my '58 TV model. Go figure.

 

Continued with the Fatboy/Shark duo.

 

Went with the Fatboy today..smooth as a 59' Cadillac..

 

I am a bit late to the TTO party this week as I have been away for a few days. Most of my TTOs are vintage razors but I do have one modern one. The razors shown above are (left, middle, right):

• 1963 Gillette Fat Boy Adjustable (F-2) - TTO
• 1963 Gillette Slim Adjustable (I-2) - TTO
• 1956 Gillette Red Tip Super Speed (B-1) - TTO, Rhodium Plating
• 1950s Gillette Flare Tip British Rocket (Patent No. 694093, 1953) - TTO
• 1956 Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed (B-2) - TTO
• Parker 82R Heavyweight - TTO - Chrome
• 1969 Gillette Super Adjustable "Black Beauty" (O-4) - TTO

I will be using the Red Tip Rhodium plated Super Speed for today's shave.

Friday:

Gillette 40's Style SS W-1/Rapira Swede (4),I always get a great shave out of this razor

 

It's Friday, so that means last shave with the Astra SP.
Today it was nestled down into my '61 Fatboy set @ 6. Just another great shave!

 

It was a Fatboy Friday for me today..lol..

 

Friday: Gillette flare tip Rocket. Great shave as always with this razor.
This weekend I'll head over to the Rolls

 

As many of you may know, weekends are for my SE razors - Saturday str8s, and Sunday the traditional SEs.
Fortunately I do have a TTO SE.
Today I dropped my Gem blade into my Gem MMOC and had one terrific shave.

This has been another fun Theme Week. Glad to see so many of you have enjoyed it, as well.

Gillette 1941 Ranger Tech/Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow (1)

I had never tried a Yellow before and I was pleasantly surprised,I had a great shave,I dont think they're smoother than the Blacks,but they could be a tad sharper.I usually need to do a touch-up on my dome with the Ranger Tech,today I didn't need it.
