I opened August the way I closed July, with a couple additions to see if I could get a much better shave for the opener of the 8th month. I've received a lot of avice and commentary since yesterday's shave, and I am most thankful. I put in about 8, 10 Stoylin Frost Drops to the Central Texas soap. It was a help, as I didn't do this yesterday. Another thing I did is I wet my face and neck with a few more slaps than yesterday. 0;30(give or take a second)for the loading of the Stoylin Pro-Handle brush. Lightly touched the soap with the brush as I swirled around. I did very well on the first pass. At the middle of the second, I did get a weeper, but as has been the case more often that not, it didn't develop into much. That was around Porcupine Alley. Cactus Nation was looked good after each pass. It was indeed a much better shave than that of 24 hours go. I'm eager to get back to my other two Central Texas Soaps pucks, but they are more for colder weather. Having said that, I may try a CTS Grandpa's Barbershop/Osage Rub combination-the Osage should surely cool down the warmth of the G'sB. That could be a great choice for a Throwback Thursday this month. But as for today;s shave, Most Excellent.
At times I do put messages in the wrong post, but I'm embarrassed to have done a whole shave description in the wrong one.
Walking into the wrong bathroom is embarrassing, posting in the wrong thread, not so much. I think we'll all survive. Don't get down on yourself for one second. Everyone makes mistakes. This one, its not even a bump in the road of life.
I might pick up another Every Man Jack in our local supermarket....strange that a drugstore wouldn't have EMJ but the supermarkert does.
Oh I wasn't going to let it ruin my day. Fortunately in this forum we have nice pleasant understanding people like yourself.
