Hi all. I found this straight for $20 at the world's largest flee market in Canton Texas, and I've not had anyone yet identify it's origins. If you know straights, see if you can make sense of this little jewel.

Only one I could find with the name Hilger in it. Some of the guys from Germany or nearby may be able to help.

Thanks Bronco. Yeah, my internet searches turned up the same name, but I could never peg it as having anything to do with this straight.

    Other ideas?

Ahh, very nice. Thanks for the info. :happy088 I should have known that there would be a book out there for this sort of thing. One question still remains though, about how old is this thing? It says '81' on the side, but I don't know if that's a year. Any ideas?

That's a nice-looking razor, never seen one from that manufacturer before

The "81" is the model number. It looks like mid-twentieth century to me.
