Mesmerize is so good.. I found NIB Ford Mustang w/ Mesmerize aftershave from 1999, so yea, it's newer than the vintage stuff but still a classic. That was only 2.5 oz so I'm looking to score some more soon.

I have two of them. I see those online a lot. Definitely good that you held back, IMHO those were way over priced.

I might have done that. I happen to like Tai Winds, so it depends on your goal. You can probably score a higher volume of juice for the
money if you look around.. but if you like the Pipe Full decanters then I doubt you'll do better than $5 piece unless you're really patient.

Some of you guys have been talking about this stuff. I have a tiny bottle of it, but, in the past, it has been hard for me to find and expensive. Well, I found two bottles of it, the other day, and one just arrived. Both for around $12 each, shipped.
Avon Brisk Spice is about as close to the Shulton Old Spice as it gets. I put a dab of each on the back of a hand, and smelled it, throughout the afternoon. There is a slight difference between the two, but not much. I doubt many could tell the difference. Both smell great. But, the Shulton Old Spice still smells better too me.

    Avon Brisk Spice.

The difference between the two was for me so slight as to be nearly nonexistent (my sense of smell ain't what it usedta be). Agreed that most people, at a passing sniff, could and would mistake it for Shulton...it's that close.

Always thought it was kinda odd that Avon waited until relatively late in the game (1980s) to make Brisk Spice. Spicy is a fairly close clone from the early-mid '60s but probably can't be mistaken for Shuton in a side by side...it's good, but it's not Shulton. So I'm not sure why Avon didn't go for Shulton's throat from the start and lead off with Brisk Spice.

My thinking is that Old Spice was well known, and available, everywhere. Avon product were ordered by catalogue, or though your neighborhood Avon Lady, making it more of a pain to get, by men.

Isn't that where the wife came in, buying for hubby? And Avon cloned O.S. for a reason.

Avon Lady: "Madge, does your husband like Old Spice?"

    Madge: "Why yes he does!"

Avon Lady: "Well get a snootful of this!"

Would like to have some men's Avon catalogs (or the men's section of a catalog) from the '60s but have never once seen them, anywhere.

Yesterday I picked up a Stutz Bearcat 1914 NIB and a Sure Winner race car NIB but the box was roughed up a little. Naturally they are both full of Wild Country. I wonder how many million gallons of Wild Country they made?

    I paid $4 each.

It's still in production since 1967, listed on several website for sale new. Many Avon products are knock offs of popular products by other designers, but this one was a bit of a trend setter. Don't know if it was ever reformulated, but one site lists the scent ingredients as; Lavender, Bergamot, Lemon, Basil, Anise, Geranium, Fern, Carnation, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Moss, Amber, Musk, Vanilla, Tonka, & Benzoin.

That reads like a good list of ingredients. For some reason the scent doesn’t sell itself to me though. I’m going to give it a few test runs though to see how it mixes with my diesel essence.

From the bottle and by the list don't tell how it works with your chemistry. Pick a yard work Saturday and apply liberally. That ought to give a good idea how it would perform in less stressful conditions.

Yep. I meant the list of ingredients seems like it should smell good in the bottle. I’m holding out hope that my chemistry will actually improve the scent.

I’m planning a yard work day to test the Veg also.

    Shulton Old Spice, "Ships Canon".

One of the more rare ones I found. I don't see them often. Long story short. I got this in the mail, and the contents were replaced with water. I will swap the water out with Shulton Old Spice, to keep it Original.
