@jimjo1031 , I am sorry to have missed this thread. So sorry you have to go under the knife, but I am glad that you caught this thing early. I will be praying for you and for @Sara-s , too. I know she will be so glad to get rid of that bag. God bless you both.
Had the surgery a few hours ago and according to the Doc, everything went well. I should be discharged this Tuesday. But I sure am going to miss solid food for a while, especially steak.
Good news from both of you, do what the doctors tell you & you'll be good as new. Sent from my SM-T387V using Tapatalk
This update coming to you from my hospital room. Surgery went well and the Docs decided I don't need a liquid diet after all. That's good because the steak with my name on it will be defrosted a few days earlier. I should be discharged around noon on Wednesday and laying down on the living room couch shortly afterwards. Just have to wait a while before the pain in my stomach area goes away.
Glad your surgery went well for you, I had some intestine surgery done years ago and it takes a while until a person figures how the repluming works in its new state. Take care and take it day to day is about all I can input. Avoid tomato skins, they do not digest well.
Meds are working pretty good. I just had a phone call with the Doc, and he said one area of the colon that was taken out had cancer. Guess it was a good time I had the surgery............
