US Post Office - a brief rant

i recently received my monobloc/hd 500 set from france.roughly $15 canadian for shipping. took just over a week.very impressive.
maybe due to air mail over land mail.

 

Funny you mention Connaught. I received a package just today. It was about a week. Free shipping to boot! I oughta post a pic of my haul

 

I guess my order was too hot they had to send it to a cooler place.

I recommend paying a visit to the closest USPS mail processing facility to see what the mail goes through to get from point A to point B. Unless you've worked in one, you really have no idea.

 

I picture a big bunch of Cliff Clavins and Newmans.

I am fortunate. The folks in my small town post office go above and beyond for me and my family. They're actually real people that strive to do their best.

I love these USPS rant threads. It reminds me to thank the staff as I'm checking my PO Box for the job they do.

The "postal system" may be goofy and sometimes hard to figure out, but I'm convinced the vast majority of front line workers are doing their best.

 

I thought the supervisors were Moe, Larry, Curly, and Shemp.

 

Charlie is from the south so it's actually one guy whose name is Moe-larry-curly Shemp.
